These have to be put together, the prongs go into holes so they stick up. It takes a little time but easy to do. I have black belly whistling ducks sitting on the swing set top bar. They had to get. These worked from the start and haven't been damaged so far. They have been up for a few months and still going strong. The ducks still come around but the stay off where they can't be leaving poops. Great buy for me.

I have a second home in Mexico and the the pigeons have decided to roost under my palapa awnings what a mess !!! Installed these amazing spikes and no more pigeons at all time will tell on how well they hold up in the humid salt air .. definitely work and easy to install

This has been working great to keep cats and pigeons away from my back porch. I have a brick wall and I purchased that heavy duty double sided tape and that's what I used and after rain and heavy wind they haven't fallen off. I'm very happy no more stray cats jumping into my back porch seeing off my cameras and making my dogs bark like crazy.

I have a problem with birds nesting on the front porch where bricks create a small ledge about 8 feet up. My neighbor used these and recommended them so I got some. They work decently, and I have way fewer nests than I used to, but both my neighbor and I have found that the birds are smarter than the spikes and will occasionally build nests right on top of them. These are pretty light so either you have to have a flat surface to stand them up on or you need to secure them. If they are going to be exposed to wind you will need to secure them. Putting them together was a pain, as you had to slide many pairs of the spike through the base and it's not very comfortable on the hands doing this.

I like that it was easy to put together and you use only what you need. I purchased to squirrel proof my bird feeder...

It is a little hard to press the wires into the base, best to finish getting them all the way in by pressing the bottom against the edge of something like a piece of wood. I installed these on top of 2 X 8 pole barn rafters using 1 1/4" deck screws using a bit extension. This takes time and patience but I am certain they are staying in place and doing the job of keeping the birds from roosting above my parked truck. The aluminum base is sufficient, and the aluminum wires are springy and robust.

Seems like a pretty good product, but they shorted me 16 of the spikes.

We have an elevated seawall at our property to the lake. In addition, we have a boat ramp that is no longer in service which rises from the water to our grassed back yard. About 20 feet wide. I used these in line mounted on a Trex like board and then attached the boards together (stainless screws) to make a barrier to the way the geese and ducks were "walking" up to our back yard. The geese are the worst as they have many goslings and as they don't fly and they love fresh cut grass, well it became game on... The rest of the yard is barriered with the landscap plants and elevated seawall, so this was the only area needing a barrier. Worked great, have not seen one bird on the back yard and I set the ring camera to alert me. Now if I could find a way to get rid of the deer... eating everything they can. Nature is a challenge!

Product turned out to be as advertised. Material, stainless steel and well made. Good design and easy to install. Most importantly, I installed to repel pigeons on my balcony - I don't see any pigeon landing on my balcony any more. Money well spent. Thanks.The only thing I did not like from the delivery company that they left the packet on my door-step with giving a knock at the door; I was home and waiting. Could have lost the packet to mail-robbers!!!! Things are not the same as they used to be.
