Update: I now have a third Airfree. I love this product. I works on smells, odors, mold and fairy dust. Ok, not sure about fairy dust, but I continue to breathe easier. Allergies (cats, dog, birds, dust) and asthma are serious health conditions that can rob you of quality time in life. I actually got family members to get the higher version for their larger space in their master bedroom with good effects too. I love never needing to shop for a filter. No regrets. Original review below: I learned about this product after making a health care visit. The provider had this unit in office and because I was curious about this blue glowing light I asked about it. I noticed the effect within an hour of setting this unit up in a bedroom with the door closed. It's quite. The light has an on/off option, but I find it relaxing. The price is on the higher end, but if you buy the right one the first time you can save money in the end. Take it from some one who has two other purifiers that are bigger and louder. I wish it was portable ( It is in car travel).

This air purifier is IMPOSSIBLY good!!! I am floored by the magic show that unfolded in my home today. Our daughter had a ferret that free ranged in part of our house and as a result of many years of the little friend soiling on the laminate flooring, it stinks (a lot!) and has to be replaced. I have been quite grumpy for years about the floors (bad smell, lovely ferret) but we were committed to not replacing them until the ferret died (because she would do the same thing to the new floors). She recently passed away and we are going to be replacing the floor any day. In the mean time, late the other night, I was in a pretty bad mood because of the smell and decided to order this little miracle worker. It arrived on my doorstep today and all I needed to do was plug it in (easiest machine to operate, ever). Tonight, about 8 hours later, I am breathing the freshest, loveliest air this house has ever known and, as a result, am in a really, really great mood. The stink is gone!!!! The floors are still ruined and need to be replaced, but this air purifier is so shockingly effective that it is cleaning the air before any lingering memory of our dearly departed ferret reaches my nose. I cannot believe I waited this long to order this. I am kicking myself to know now that for all the years that we had that ferret, we could have been breathing pristine, fresh, air. The difference in our air quality is so drastic. We could have had this years ago!!! I LOVE this air purifier - anyone who loves their pets but hates the smell will find a new lease on life with the AirFree P1000 Filterless Air Purifier. I wish I could post a before and after smell :) nothing short of miraculous.

I've owned this product for a couple of years now. I like it quite a bit, and I'm considering getting another one for the living room. It's true that it takes a long time for the air to get completely cleaned out because it works slowly, but it's silent, efficient, and small. I don't mind the slowness. I only mind the extra heat in the summer, but it's OK. The instructions state it gives off about as much heat as another body in the room, which seems to be true if it were a small body. I recommend it for anyone who wants a not too expensive purifier.

It’s a lifesaver!! I bought this during the pandemic to kill airborne viruses and hadn’t been using it until I had a leak in the laundry room this week and began using it to destroy mold spores in the air so glad I had kept it! People saying it doesn’t work for dust removal don’t understand the purpose of it. I already have hepa air filters but they don’t kill mold or viruses. This one serves its purpose and I am very happy to recommend it. The blue light can be turned off check the instructions.

I bought this for the bedroom to help with my asthma and allergies. I thought I had read that the light was able to be turned off. Not sure where I read that, because I can't find that now and it isn't able to be turned off. It's very bright and lights the entire bedroom with a blue glow. I need to return it, break the LEDs inside, or put it in a different room and buy another purifier for the bedroom. If I wanted a night light, I would have bought one. I don't want my purifier to be a lamp. As far as the purifier functionality, it's great. If I had bought this for another room, I would have been very happy. The air smells fresher and I have fewer problems while sleeping. It's also silent and maintenance free. That's the why I haven't returned it and lived with the obnoxious glow it has. At least they chose a not so bad color. The blue is almost decent.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I liked the idea of not having to change filters. I used to own the Brookstone Ionic, which breeze didn't have filters either. You would just pull out the center piece and wipe it down and it was obviously attracting lots of dust. You could also tell when cleaning the house. I have birds, which are very dusty and the house stayed much cleaner. This is more like a paperweight that you waste electricity on. Their is no improvement in the cleaning and when I wipe it down, very little comes off. Do NOT waste your money. I'm super disappointed

The Airfree website has documentation and videos about the science and testing done on the airfree devices. As a layperson, the theory behind it is solid too. A ceramic chamber heats air to 400 degrees where basically anything organic will burn. Natural convection will pull air and any viruses/bacteria/fungus through the chamber, burning any said organisms. However, unlike a filtering air purifier, there's no filter media to visibly show dust or smoke collected or filtered. So, there's a lot of skeptics on this product. I gave one unit to my brother, who said after running the airfree in his basement bathroom that it's the first time he's not smelled mold in the bathroom (yes, I've told my brother that he shouldn't run it directly inside the bathroom). The skeptics and people who don't read through or understand the theory behind the product will think that the airfree collects viruses or bacteria or fungi spores inside the unit and that moving the unit to another unit will release those things back in the air or something. No, the airfree takes a long time to process the air in a room because it relies on convection and not a fan to pull air through the heating chamber. There is a lot of air in a room which is why it'll take a while to start reducing airborne contaminants. Because the airfree is only killing airborne spores if you move it out of the room then the mold that is still living in the wall producing said spores will just continue spreading those spores, they just won't be killed by the airfree. Just like with any air purifier, this is only a piece of the puzzle. Take care of any contaminants (mold, decay, messes, etc), keep your areas as clean as possible and the air purifier will help in maintaining the air quality. I recommend this product, especially for a moldy bathroom that you haven't remedied yet.

I bought this for my bedroom and the P-3000 for the living/dining room area. I had mold in my house which I wiped clean, but I still had breathing problems when I was in my house. I thought it was allergies, but most likely it was mold spores still proliferating although I couldn't see any mold. I bought these together and installed them. They run extremely quiet and I wouldn't even know they were on except for the subdued blue light. At first I was skeptical, even after two weeks I wasn't sure. But now, after 2 months, I definitely know they are working. Whether it was the mold or allegies, I can't be sure, but all I know is I can breathe a lot easier. No headaches or scrathy throat in the mornings. I highly recommend these. But you must be patient to get the full effect. It takes a few weeks to get the air purified to the point where you know it's working. The blue light on the unit can be adjusted, but I do like it because it reminds me that it's on and it does have a soporific effect when you go to bed. If you have allergies (or worse, mold spores) please treat yourself. Sleeping well and breathing clean air makes me want to stay at home all the time.

One Air Purifier stopped working after we got it in May 2018. Please advise how to get it fixed.

Very compact size and quiet, not even notice it was on. My friend introduced this to me, she bought one after seeing her family dictor used it in his clinic. I stopped runny nose and sneezing after it’s on for 8 hours. But it’s hard not to open windows and doors as it requires an enclosed room. After using it for 2 years, I have to say this works very good. We didn’t even notice it works until one day someone unplugged it by accident, we then noticed how bad smell was the room without it working. Someone mentioned not working about the dust in their room, please remember this is for purifying and sanitizing air, it has no filter and will not collecting dust in the air! I just bought another 2 for my sons’ rooms, I’m very sensitive to the smell in their room. After putting one on for each of their room, the air refreshed and no more weird smell.

I have been turning on this little guy for years in my dinning room, but I am not sure whether it worked or not. It's quiet, standing there with the its blue eye, likes a myth I can't reach in the galaxy.

Works great and quite

I have been using this constantly for almost three years now. I can't say for sure if it removes dust from the air, but it definitely removes odours. I had opened a package of meat that was rotten. The smell lingered in the area for more than a day before I thought to put this air purifier there. I left the space alone for a few hours and when I came back, there was no trace of the rotten stench. Currently, I have it running in a 9'x10' bedroom. It is the only room in the house that doesn't stink of cigarette smoke. We don't smoke in our home, but my neighbours frequently smoke outside and it gets pumped in my air intake. The rest of my house stinks like stale smoke except for this one room. I will be buying more of these.
