Can you bend at the knuckle with this splint?

Yes, you can position it to bend at the knuckle or you composition it So were you don't bend at the knuckle. It just depends on how far up you want your finger in it. I don't put my finger all the way to the end of splint. I like to put the strap over the area that hurts when I wear it. This is actually one of the better ones that actually work. Several out there don't do what they claim. This does.

Is the velcro removable? Patient has a large open wound on top of finger. I would like to use the splint and hold it in place with her dressing.

The velcro strip is riveted at the base. The loop can be unwrapped though.

Could this be worn for a pip joint deformity of the ring finger? is it completely rigid or would i be able to get it to fit under a 90⁰ angle contract

You can bend it a little but it doesn't stay on your finger and in my opinion was a waste of money.
