This cord was just what I needed to fix an old hanging lamp I inherited from my late parents. Looks exactly like the original cord from the early 1970's era and looks great with the gold colored chain that I weaved the cord through. Works great 👍

Good product. With 15ft I fixed 2 lighting fixtures, cut a length for chandelier and used the plug end for an old brass bar sign. Ideal product for both cases. Priced fairly for a Prime product comparable to was available in big box stored so no qualms about adding it to my order. The important consideration for me is that it is 18GA, pretty standard even for the multi bulb chandelier light I was using it on, but wasn't stiff and rigid like the original cord it was replacing. Flexible enough to weave into the chain without affecting the hanging. On the bar light I had to thread it through a curved tube handle. Both ended up looking better than the original short length cord.

I’m so happy I found this! I originally ordered a hemp rope looking plug in wire for a vintage lamp shade I bought, not thinking about how small the opening to the lamp cage would be. I struggled so much with the other cord- some reviewers claimed the socket could be unscrewed, when it just could not. I ended up cutting the wires and reattaching them, but all the fiddling I had done had damaged it too much. Suffice it to say I’m glad I had a surge protector. This product is perhaps a bit less sexy, but does the job perfectly. I bought a vintage socket to go with it, and am happy with how straightforward it was! For the other amateurs out there: the manufacturer’s instructions tell you to look for the ribbed wire, as that is the neutral. I couldn’t tell which was which; it took me a while to read articles online to figure out that they mean this very thin line on the edge. You can feel it on the neutral, the hot wire is smooth. Another way you can tell which is which: the polarized plug; the larger, more rounded ends where the neutral wire terminates. It also had small print on it. 10/10 would recommend!

Needed to rewire old floor lamp. Did the job with no problems.

I used this to re-wrie a lamp that had its original wire cut. Works like a charm and I have a functional lamp again.

The print on the wire jacket was hard to find/read, so I used a continuity tester to make sure I rewired the lamp correctly.

Old school look polarized (saftey first!) used on my dads old lamp he made in high school in the 50's.

Works great! Wire ends came pre soldered for ease of use. Colour is not accurate and is way more yellow in person so keep in mind if you’re trying to colour match.
