Are these shoes difficult to keep clean?

I have had several variations Of this same shoes and I will occasionally machine wash them and they are brand new every time

How do you wash or clean it? mine got a dirt stain and I don't know how to clean it. I used a cloth and it didn't remove the stain.

I have several Cole Hann stichlites. While on vacation in the south of France last year, I got my pair of white stichlites stained so badly. I cleaned it with a toothbrush and white toothpaste. Stain was all gone as if nothing happened. You might want to try it.

its the original. i had already bought a pair at the Cole Haan store and wanted the second pair for another home we have where there isn't a Cole Haan store. identical shoe and same packaging. feels the same as well.
