Works great. Has been very helpful in monitoring my compost piles to obtain best highest temperatures and determining when to stir and mix pile.

New to composting and love this. Easy to read and know what the temp of the compost is. I leave it in the composer and take it out to spin the wheel. So far so good I was pleased to see how quick it works. A must for a composer. Seems well build and well designed can check the pile in a second.

Very accurate. Easy to read. I tested the temperature needle by placing it in the refrigerator with another thermometer and then in the freezer. The reading was spot on. The 16" length is perfect for my compost pile which is approximately 36" deep therefore the probe is able to reach to the very center of the pile. I was aware that Reotemp is a brand that has been around for a long time and they get good reviews in gardening websites and that is why I purchased this item.

Works and is durable

This thing is great for fast composting. Being able to see the temp at a glance really helped keep me on top of flipping my pile. My wife buried it in chicken poop at the start of winter so we'll see how well it's held up when I unearth it in a couple weeks.

Very good product for the money seems to be accurate

I Wish I had one of these when I started composting. So helpful,l. Now I know when to turn my pile for greatest efficiency. This os built well. Can leave it out in the sun or rain. (I will remove it in winter of course). It reaches well into the core of my pile (pallet bin). Well worth it!
