Love being able to mix in different ratios
The nectar dissolves easily in warm to hot water, and I had birds at the feeder the first time I put it out. Being able to mix in ratios for the size of the feeder is a huge plus, and the price point is great.

Color Fades in Sunlight
I'm using this powder in a feeder that has a clear glass bottle. Mixed according to directions, the red color of the nectar mixture fades out fairly quickly, usually in about a week. This is actually a good thing because it serves as a reminder to change out the mixture regularly.

A matter of choice
I bought this because of the reviews and the price. Ive been feeding hummingbirds for years. Very meticulous with keeping my feeders clean and nectar fresh. Its part of my nightly chore routine. As you know, hummingbirds won't feed on soured nectar or dirty feeders. Nectar sours quickly in the desert high temps so its a daily clean and change. But, they came to feed as they always do but the minute they fed on this, they stopped immediately and flew away. The hummingbirds have come to rely on my feeders out here in the desert. They hover now but wont go to the feeders after the first try. I feel bad, gonna switch back to what I was using...Maybe they were just used to the old nectar.

Feeder doesn't get icky like with sugar water
The hummingbird like this alot. I find the feeder and water doesn't get that nasty black stuff that comes from the sugar. This doesn't do that at all. I dont make mine from sugar any more this is healthier and cleaner for them Highly recommend over other brands and making your own from sugar which gets nasty.

Easy to use hummingbird bird mix.
The contents of the bag appears to be enjoyed by hummingbirds after only one day after hanging the feeder. It is convenient to use the mix—just measure the right amount and add water. And the birds like it.
