Great Product, Darkens Light Leather
I ordered this leather conditioner per the recommendation of many leatherworkers. Thanks, LeatherWorker.net forum, for all the helpful pointers. Anyway, this conditioner is really great for moisturizing leather and providing a smooth finish when thoroughly buffed. It will, like hot water on spinach, darken the leather it's applied to. From what I've been told, this is to be expected. In fact, if you want to enhance the darkening effect, apply a heat treatment when conditioning with a hair dryer. The waterproofing of this conditioner is not going to be as good as an acrylic finish like Resolene. But, a relatively good water resistence can be acheived with this if you apply more than one coat. I tried out this conditioner on a few things as of this review: a scrap of Eco Gel-died veg-tanned leather, a raw veg scrap, and the toes of my badly sun-bleached work boots. I have included pictures of the results of both treatments. The died piece barely showed any visible difference in terms of darkening. It did buff to a nice soft shine. My poor steel-toed boots got left out in the sun too long so I figured that there was no harm in applying this conditioner. The paste darkened the leather significantly, past the point of restoring the original color to turning it to a darker, richer hue. The veg tanned leather showed significant darkening when I applied the conditioner, let it soak, and then buffed it. This conditioner comes in a screwtop plastic container as a vaseline-colored paste. It has the consistency of... well jeeze... banana paste I guess (which will do as a replacement for this in a pinch). It does not contain any neatsfoot oil, which I've heard gives leather conditioners a distinctive bacon smell. Rather, this paste smells like a sweeter vaseline, and any odor is gone once the applied surface is buffed. Overall, I definitely recommend this conditioner as it does its prescribed job really well! Just be aware that it's not meant to be a perfect water sealant and that it will darken lighter leathers.

Absorbed quickly with quick results
I used this on my waxed leather couch and loveseat and the results were great, though it really changed the look. That could be a drawback for some people, though I was fine with it. The furniture I used it on was not quite two years old and doesn't get a lot of use, so I don't think the look had changed much since I purchased it. I still figured it was time to do some maintenance to make sure the leather remained properly conditioned. I first did a color test on the back of a cushion and liked the result. I applied liberal amounts of this product to all the leather and not just the exposed areas. I made sure it was thoroughly and evenly applied. The waxed leather sucked up the paste rather quickly and there was no need to buff off any excess. I was hoping it could be buffed to a bit of shine because of the beeswax, but it left a dull finish that looks good. Maybe a second application would produce a bit of a shine, but it was a lot of work to do this application. I didn't time how long it took to be absorbed by my furniture since I was busy after applying it and I didn't sit on that furniture until the following morning. My leather had a different feel to it, but there was no residue remaining. Results may vary depending on how your leather was treated. I included a photo of before and after. The treated loveseat is darker with a more consistent color.

47 years leatherworking experience.
Product is still in review. I have used 100% neatsfoot oil for decades, however, this product has potential for finishing surfaces after oil applications. My work is spread throughout the world, from hot and humid areas to dry and cold. All of my creations are used daily in those environments, so more than just oils are needed.

Works great to freshen up leather!
I do custom leatherwork, and repair on my ranch and this stuff is amazing to bring back old dried out leather that’s needin repairs. It moisturizes the leather and gives it a nice shine, as long as the leather ain’t too far gone. I’ve been amazed at how well it works on old saddles that have been out of use and stored in the tack room too long. If’n y’all ain’t sure, just buy it and use it, y’all won’t be sorry.

This is great stuff
So, I own enough leather. Be it boots, vests, motorcycle saddle bags/seats. This stuff is easy to apply, doesn't smell bad, and it conditions. It leaves leather soft and shiney. It is cheap for how much you get. (The boot company Indy Ridge recommends this brand for their boots, that's how I heard of this great conditioner) One small gripe - it doesn't penetrate cold leather well. I was out conditioning a leather motorcycle seat in 30f/0c and it just kind of sat on the surface. Not the products fault, just more of a limitation of doing leather conditioning during the winter. Once it warmed up and the pores of the leather opened the seat loved the new oils coming in and shined up as expected.

Great for Deep conditioning
What I like about this is it's like a paste You don't have to use a whole lot of it to get the job done. It does nice deep conditioning sometimes you do have to use two coats because your leather is not good condition and needs the oils to penetrate the leather. But I would definitely recommend this and I'm someone who reconditions donated saddles for a horse rescue to give the saddle another life.

Great product, great value!
This works as well as the other reviews say it works, in my opinion. I used it on a very high quality full grain leather vegetable tanned leather bag that requires care and treatment. This works as a great conditioner and a weatherproofer as well. I still wouldn't dare take the bag out in heavy rain without an umbrella, but in light rain I don't even bother with the umbrella and it does just fine after being treated with this stuff. It only darkened the leather slightly, which was expected and welcomed after reading the reviews. It also worked to remove some fairly significant scuff marks caused by the bag's hardware, which was an unexpected surprise. Made the bag look like new again. I applied it with an applicator brush, heated the area slightly with a hair dryer (not too hot, not too long), wiped with a microfiber cloth, then buffed with a horse hair shoe shine brush. Worked like a charm. The product definitely takes some elbow grease to apply, but for about $10 bucks on a bag that should last a lifetime with treatment a few times a year, this product is a fantastic buy. I think the jar should give me about 4-5 applications on a large sized leather messenger bag with fairly heavy application.

It's revived my old leather shoes
If you have leather items that need some care and protection, you might want to try Fiebing’s Aussie Leather Conditioner. This is a product that was developed for Australian horsemen, who had to deal with harsh and dry climate conditions. It contains natural beeswax, which helps to moisturize, soften, and preserve leather. It is perfect for use on saddles, tack, boots, handbags, and other leather products. Fiebing’s Aussie Leather Conditioner is easy to apply and works well on any type of leather, even hardened steel or serrated knives. You just need to rub a small amount of the conditioner on the leather surface with a clean cloth or sponge, and let it dry for a few minutes. Then you can buff it with another cloth to bring out the shine and smoothness of the leather. You can repeat this process as often as needed to keep your leather items in good condition. Fiebing’s Aussie Leather Conditioner is not only effective, but also safe and eco-friendly. It does not contain any harmful chemicals or solvents that might damage the leather or the environment. It also has a pleasant smell and does not leave any sticky or greasy residue. It comes in a 15 oz jar that can last for a long time, as you only need a little amount for each application. Fiebing’s Aussie Leather Conditioner is a great product that will help you to maintain and restore your leather items. It will make them more durable, comfortable, and beautiful.

No question, this works amazing!
I went to see an auto upholsterer to have my upper rear leather seats redone as they had dried out and split at the stitching. He recommended I treat the rest of the leather with this product, heavily, and let it sit for 24 hours before buffing out as the leather was very dry. I used a lot of product, probably 1/3 of the tub. After buffing out, my seats are darker, like they used to be, not greasy at all, and amazingly soft! This is a 20 year old show car. I had used other 'name brand' products with no luck. This is what you need to purchase, I have 3 years worth for a great price!

Gute Lederpflege
Dieses Lederfett nehme ich für alles was ich so mit Leder habe. Gut für Stiefel aus Leder oder Sattel und Zügel vom Pferd. Zieht gut ein und verleiht dem Stiefel Glanz.
