Looks at the life and accomplishments of the Christian evangelist and coordinator of orphanages in Bristol, England, who cared for more than ten thousand orphans in his lifetime. Review: A great example of how to live in God's will - This entire well-told true story evolves around what can be accomplished if we trust God and listen to Him rather than to people. So profound and inspiring yet simple! Review: Well written, thought provoking - This book is written very well (just like the others in this outstanding series). It’s simple enough language to keep the attention of my children but not so simple that it would be classified as a children’s book and very enjoyable to read. The story itself will make you think. If George could pray and trust God to meet his needs, why can’t I do the same? By the time I finished it, I was looking at my own life and figuring out what areas I need give over to God and just trust that He will provide while I do.

Beautiful!
I read this account aloud to our four boys (ages 10, 8, 7 & 5) and they all loved it. There were at least ten times where God’s faithfulness & provision was so overwhelming beautiful that I would choke up and they’d all go, “Mom’s crying again!” Ha! Lord Jesus, You are magnificent. What a wonderful, intentional Savior! We enjoyed every second of this story.

LOVE this book
This book has been one of my favorites for years, and I just purchased and read again. If you are someone who has a heart for adoption...this book is totally for you! It's a biography, but it is so entertaining and written in an excellent style that keeps you engaged with George's story. Great for kids-I first read it when I was 9 years old, but now it is almost 20 years later, and I still love it!

Inspiring!
I don’t think I’ve read a book that moved me as much as this one. To see how George Muller lived his life selflessly for the work of God is inspiring to say the least. The lives he touched through the orphanage ministry is a testament to the power of prayer and the effectiveness of faith.

Great book about a great man
I have always heard George Mueller, but was fascinated to actually read his life story. He is a model person for his willingness to trust in prayer. He has motivated me to pray more intentionally and specifically.

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever.
The love and care that poured out of this man towards the children forgotten by the rest of the world moved the hearts of thousands to believe that God still answers prayer.

Very inspiring and very well written for young and older
I bought this series of books for my homeschooled children ages 12 and 10.. We read this one together and we laughed, cried, and were so amazed by the way the story is told and most of all this man's love for God and orphans is so inspiring .. It helped my children realize (they both have a chronic illness) that God is in control of our lives when we let Him . He protects us and guides us when we trust Him. Very inspiring both for me and my kids.

Inspirational and faith affirming
My children and I really enjoyed this book. Hearing George Müller’s life story and the accounts of his many answered prayers, has really impacted our own attitudes to prayer. So inspiring hearing what God accomplished for many orphan children through George Müller. It was also wonderful to hear about the other people who worked alongside him. George Müller could easily be idolised because of his many good deeds, however thankfully the text kept pointing back to God and how George was ultimately dependant on God, revealing God’s hand at work in everything that ‘George’ accomplished. I would recommend this book to families who need some encouragement in their faith or who simply want to learn about a very interesting life. Having said that, my youngest (aged 7) found the first few chapters a bit hard to take, when youthful George was on the wrong track. My son was much happier to listen to the story once George Müller started heading in the right direction. Even so, it wasn’t as enjoyable to him as it was for my older children (ages 9, 11 and 12) who could understand it better.

Excellent
An excellent book written in a clear and simple language but which can be enjoyed by adults I m a grown up and couldn't leave the book. My only regret is to have finished my reading. Very good for specific historic information...above all boosts faith in a powerful and loving God
