I already purchased their teleprompter in the past, but needed another remote control for the app so someone else could use it by themselves. Once you learn the controls, all works very well. May not be compatible with other apps, but I specifically purchased it for use with their own free app.

The teleprompter is good. What was very irritating is the lack of instructions. I did not know what a TXT file was, a friend helped me with that. The remote was hard to open, I expected the back to slide off, it needs quite a lot of force to prize the back off with a screwdriver, a sketch of one being used on the instructions would have been helpful. When I slid the round button to speed the text up nothing seemed to happen until I became frustrated with it and jabbed it several times and discovered that the alteration changes in steps, I expected it to gradually increase. After finding all this out the teleprompter works well.

It’s a weird twilight world of comparability with prompting software and iPads. I use Teleprompter Pro app which is great - and has lots of functionality for tons of remotes - but this one just wouldn’t play ball. Forget the cost of this…. I wasted HOURS of my life trying to make this work. Bluetooth connectivity seems fine and it’s probably great with other apps - can’t comment there…. Build quality is great too - so, like I say, I’ve been a bit harsh with my star ratings on this…. But it’s sitting in a drawer in my house waiting for a day when it might actually come in handy for something. As a Teleprompter Pro remote…. It’s useless.

So far I've tried two other remotes. The first one came with Podcaster Parrot. I used it for a few years. However, it had two issues. 1. A bit noisy when clicking the buttons 2. Had an unusual 2025 battery which needed to be replaced every now and then. Then I got the Neewer remote which only worked with its app, and the app had some issues. But this one is great so far. The buttons are quiet, it requires two AAA batteries (not included). So I've got rechargeable ones. And most importantly, it works with my paid teleprompter app (Elegant Teleprompter Pro). Please note that this is not a long term review. So let's see if it lasts!
