Description
The classic session for Candid's Choice imprint was made in 1978 and finds Miss Sloane at the top of her game. She has a confidence which comes with maturity and experience and wisdom, which she puts to good use in this scintillating collection. Classy, polished and entertaining - the All Music Guide calls it. Although the set is entitled Something Cool it could easily have been Something Hip. She is a consummate interpreter of ballads and one of the greatest exponents of the jazz vocal tradition. It is high time she received the recognition she so richly deserves.

Another Super Sloane
Recorded in 1978 this is a super record. As always with Ms. Sloane the song selection is never less than interesting, the musicians first rate and Ms. Soane's singing and interpretation spot on.

Je ne connaissais pas cette artiste. C'est un ami qui me l'a fait découvrir. Je conseille à tous ceux qui aime les belles voix, la très bonne musique d'y aller les yeux fermés!
