KAVU Rope Bag - Sling Pack for Hiking, Camping, and Commuting

I purchased this bag after seeing a coworker's. I have always carried a purse but have never been able to find one that I was happy with. No matter what style I chose, I always became frustrated when I had to dig through the purse to try and locate something--many times unsuccessfully! I also had difficulties with my shoulders being uneven due to a heavy purse hanging off of it. This bag solved all of those problems! It is meant to be carried with the strap across your chest and the bag slung across your back. The strap is adjustable for comfort and is very thick and durable. This frees up both hands to carry other things; another bag, books, small children, etc. I had a difficult time choosing what pattern I wanted but eventually settled on this one. The colors aren't quite as bright as this picture but I understand that different computer monitors can depict some variances in color. The lower front pocket is perfect for my iPhone and I'm sure it would accommodate most any other phone. The top pocket is perfect for my car keys. No more searching for my car keys as they are always in that pocket! The two main areas are sooo spacious. Both are zippered so everything stays secure. I was truly amazed at how much stuff I could fit in there! Sure, I could carry less stuff but I like to be prepared! I can fit my wallet, 3 makeup -type bags, my journal, all of my multiple pens, protein bars, diapers and an extra set of kids clothes with room to spare! I'm not exaggerating how much space there is! There is a large zippered pocket in the back of one of the sections. I receive so many compliments on this bag and people are constantly asking me where they can buy one! There are so many colors to choose from, which makes it hard to choose just one! I am seriously looking to purchase an additional one so I can switch it out for variety!

I've worn this bag out in the sun for hours and hours every day for about 8 months and I absolutely love it! It's extremely comfortable and fits a surprising amount of stuff for my bird-watching excursions. Right now, it's stuffed with a winter hat, a bulky pair of mittens, reusable shopping bags, ziploc bags, a power bank for my phone, my iPhone 15 in the larger front compartment, my AirPods in the small velcro compartment, a granola bar, a small bottle of Gatorade, pepper spray, a pocket knife, a reflective sash and flashing lights for walking in the dark, and a baggie of peanuts for the squirrels. If I take out the hat and mittens, it fits my Nikon 5200. The black fabric is starting to fade a bit after so much time in the sun, but that's to be expected. The zippers are high-quality and the fact that the strap releases in the front makes it easy to take it off without getting it tangled in my camera strap. I already bought another one in case the swan print gets discontinued!

I'm addicted to these rope bags, I have three of the full size versions. I use one everyday - almost as a purse. So easy to throw one over your shoulder on the go - no slipping off, super comfortable... I fling around to the front easily for easy access to my wallet, chapstick, (now days facemask + hand sanitizer). What I love (besides the quality) is all the cubbie spots for things to keep me organized as well as it's just the perfect size. Not too big - not too small. Also - there's SO many designs! I am super partial to the fuzzy ones, I'm dying for a corduroy or velvet one - I would love to have a flannel one, too. I got this camper canvas version because it was super cute and on sale for only $25 at the end of the season! Effortless grab and go item - holds a lot, super comfortable, cute materials, quality construction and well made, love the brand - Can't just have one. I have not tried the mini version - I think they would be more kids size.

I wanted to love this bag it did fit a lot and I liked the pockets and storage capacity. I think I just didn't love how it only rested on one shoulder.

Love love love! I used it when I was in Peru, and we were walking everywhere! It was great because I could put it on in front of me on public transports (felt a little weird but worked fine) and I could put it on my back when we were walking. Lots of room, although it can only go over one shoulder so be mindful of that. The front pocket fit my phone, which is pretty chunky, so very impressive. I never felt worried my things would be stolen. Very secure and comfortable.

I absolutely love this bag. When I first got the bag I didn't intend to buy this bag and had never even heard of the brand at the time. However, at the time I was going on a trip and wanted something that I could use as both a purse and a backpack. Where it wasn't too small or too big. I had stumbled across this bag and it was on clearance. So I just decided for the price to get it. I probably wouldn't of pick out this color though if it wasn't for the very good deal. Despite the color I ended up loving the bag itself and eventually grew to like the color too. Even after I got back from my trip, I was still using it and I started to use it as my everyday purse. It's now been a little over 3.5 years and I am still using it as my everyday purse to this day. It has held up well and I discovered just how amazing the quality of this bag really is after trying multiple other bags over the years. I just always kept coming back to this one. I even tried the off brand version of this bag and the colors from that off brand bag had transfered to my clothes, very annoying. The Kavu brand does not do that and I will definitely be sticking with the real Kavu for now on.

Just recently received my KAVU rope bag. It arrived very quickly. I think in 3 days. I love it. I wish it had more pockets inside. To compensate for not having enough pockets inside, I have been using a clear type zipper sleeves so that I can organize my items like (coupons, hairbrush, makeup etc.). Also, because I am too lazy to take it off when I am driving, I have to get use to having it sitting at may side under my elbow near the car door(not sure if anybody else does this). I also sprayed water repellant on it to protect it from the elements. Overall very happy with my purchase.
