Title: The Perfect printer for me.
It was a good purchase price and was easy to assemble. The Front Panel USB is useful for working with memory stick pictures. I like the rugged dual paper trays and two sided printing capability. Long lasting ink that does not dry up and has a low cost ink refill. I like the high speed compared to many printers.

Really Great Printer!
I purchased the Epson ET-5880 for our small office to fulfill our need for a good color printer. I read a number of a reviews about the printer before making the purchase. Most were positive, so I went ahead and ordered the printer. I'm very pleased with this printer. I had no problem connecting it to our network. Installing the drivers on four computers was easy as well. I should note that the printer comes with a CD for installation, but I chose to use the NEWER drivers that were on Epson's website instead. You should do that as well. Filling the ink tanks on the printer was very simple. Not so much as a drop of ink was spilled. The ink bottles are keyed so that one cannot put the wrong color ink in a tank no intended for that color. Once filled, the unit goes through a charging process (Epson's term) to get ink to the print heads. Yes, it uses a little ink, but Epson also supplied a second set of ink bottles so that the ink tanks are full after the charging process. The printing is very fast, yielding high quality print. I suggest using 22 or 24 pound paper, especially if printing on both sides of the paper. I was particularly interested in seeing how this printer would handle scanning. I do a lot of two-sided scanning. The scanning software, SCAN 2 and SCANSMART, both worked well. SCAN 2 gives the user lots of options, but might be overwhelming to a newer user. The SCANSMART software is more visual and gives the user enough features to adjust and/or crop images as needed. The software does provide the option of creating a searchable PDF file, which is something I like as I deal in contract documents. Of course, one can print from a cell phone or tablet if desired. There's even a remote print feature where one can print via email from anywhere where there's an Internet connection. Overall, I'm pleased with this printer. It's not inexpensive, but it will easily meet the needs of a small office.

Hardware 4 stars, software and firmware 0 stars
I print 93 page booklets for my business on A5 paper. The A series is the ISO standard most of the world uses, but not the US or Canada. Still most printers include it in the list of paper. My old Canopn MG8220 did it just fine, but Windows 11 broke its driver, and the cost of the ink is high. I bought a newer Canon that said it did auto duplex printing on A5. It didnt so I returned it. I bought this because after that nightmare I called all the 4 major printer companies and only Epson said they had a printer that would do auto duplex on A5. So I get it and when I set it up there is no A5 on the list even though the Cassette 1 paper holder tab that holds the paper has a spot where it stops for A5. So I called Epson. I spent 6 hours on the phone with senior techs. They could not solve the problem. So I uninstalled everything and downloaded the Driver from their European website. Of course then I had A5 as an option on the computer when printing a Word doc. Of course the firmware on the printer still DOES NOT recognize A5 - it has A2, A3, A4 and A6 but not A5. So whenever I print from the European driver I have to go to the printer because it says paper mismatch. I click Done. Then it says select paper, which means whatever is selected that is not A5 or what the computer is trying to send it which is A5. So I click A5. Then it says Load A5 into the paper cassette, which of course is already in there so I hit Print. So I have to manually click 3 buttons on the printer to print A5, but then it prints the entire 93 pages in auto duplex just fine And of course it has the same Ppaper output tray problem all the new printers have. A5 is narrower than Letter size, and the output has a dip in the middle so it winds up spitting the paper right out of the tray onto the floor, just as the new Canon did. So I have to tape a piec of cardboard onto the tray and then it works fine because the paper hits it and then rests in the tray. Epson, as well as all the other US printer producers, have a huge management problem. Why would they make a decision to purposefully deprive US purchasers of the full panoply of paper choices by limiting their software even though the hardware handles it just fine? Hardware gets 4 stars, software 0 stars.

Cost per page is very low and all works as it should
I've had this for 2 years now and have to say wow. It works flawlessly. The ink lasts for a very long time and prints perfect and fast. It has a lot of easy options that just work. Scan to usb, computer etc is great. The wifi works great and has huge paper trays that last a long time. I would buy again but it will be many years. The last one I had from this company lasted many many years.

I've been printing about 200 8.5x11 photos so far among couple sheets of basic black and white stuff so far. The first set of bottles (black and colours) will be loaded in the printer head and tube when setting it up; the second set of bottles is half through so far; expecting 400 photos printed on 8.5x11 photo (matte pigment compatible) paper. Since it's an all pigment ink (both black and colours), special photo paper are needed -- keep it in mind. Glossy regular paper is usually for DYE ink; not pigment. Beware (and search for Luster or Matte photo paper -- still searching tho) ! With that said, printing speed is awesome, cleanliness and characters refinement of the prints are all excellent. I cannot compare with similar priced printers tho but for a grand spent, well, it feels like it. Double paper tray is also very welcome to keep stuff far from dust as possible. On the very nice side, when you choose to scan a document from the printer touch screen, it allows it to be automatically transferred to your windows workstation over network. On the low side; after upgrading the firmware, the wifi connection tends to disconnect once every week; still testing to determine how often and what's the cause AND I will jack in an ethernet cable soon. Epson Canada support have been present and quick to respond -- suggesting a master reset then to communicate with then if nothing's changed. Fair enough. Software for Windows 11 can by invasive a bit but nothing an uninstaller can't handle. Keep in mind that ink level that Windows is aware of is only a wild guess; there is no actual real reservoir readout. I will post an update for a longer term review.

Bought this printer in particular because of the full duplex scanning capability. The connectivity options on this printer are great. For scanning I just created a shared folder on my computer and the printer drops all the scans into there. Print quality is excellent and fast too.

It works very well and is much faster than ET-4750 and ET-4760. The only draw back is that it seems to stretch a scan onto 2 pages sometimes.

The printer they sent me couldn't even be configured, they made me spend time and money to be able to return it, since they send garbage and even though I am a person with a disability I have to carry heavy loads and carry the product to be returned because of their errors
