Best introductory plasma book
Was recommended this book to study for tests in my PhD, and found this an excellent introductory textbook. Very clear and clean.

Just pointing out an error here....
This is the best book you'll get for the basics, combine it with 'Introduction to Space Physics' by Kivelson and Russell and you'll be set for all your solar/planetary/magnetospheric stuff. This isn't a proper review, I just wanted to say that on P.56 Fig 4.4 the Hall and Pedersen labels (sigma H and sigma P) should be switched around, that way they conform to the earlier equations and also the later statements in the book. This mistake caused me some pain during my PhD viva because I understanding was incorrect due to the figure, so this mistake went a long way for me..!
