This box set includes all six books in the third Warriors series, and is perfect for the collections of longtime Erin Hunter fans and readers new to the Warriors world. The wild cat Clans have lived in peace and harmony for many moons, but now strange messages from their warrior ancestors speak of a terrifying new prophecy and a mysterious danger. The time has come for three young cats of ThunderClan—Hollypaw, Jawpaw, and Lionpaw—to become apprentices. Grandchildren of the great leader Firestar, they possess unusual power and talent. Review: This is a set of books about cats - I bought this as a gift for my sister. From what I can gather, this is a set of books about cats. For those of you that don't know what cats are, here is a brief summary: The domesticated cat (Latin: Felis catus) or the undomesticated cat (Latin: Felis silvestris catus) is a small, typically furry, carnivorous mammal. They are often called house cats when kept as indoor pets or simply cats when there is no need to distinguish them from other felids and felines. Cats are often valued by humans for companionship and for their ability to hunt vermin. There are more than 70 cat breeds; different associations proclaim different numbers according to their standards. The International Progressive Cat Breeders Alliance (IPCBA) recognizes 73 cat breeds while TICA (The International Cat Association) recognizes 58, CFA (The Cat Fanciers' Association) recognizes 44 and Federation International Feline (FIFE) recognizes 43. Cats are similar in anatomy to the other felids, with a strong, flexible body, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killing small prey. Cat senses fit a crepuscular and predatory ecological niche. Cats can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small animals. They can see in near darkness. Like most other mammals, cats have poorer color vision and a better sense of smell than humans. Cats, despite being solitary hunters, are a social species and cat communication includes the use of a variety of vocalizations (mewing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling, and grunting), as well as cat pheromones and types of cat-specific body language. Cats have a high breeding rate. Under controlled breeding, they can be bred and shown as registered pedigree pets, a hobby known as cat fancy. Failure to control the breeding of pet cats by neutering and the abandonment of former household pets has resulted in large numbers of feral cats worldwide, requiring population control. This has contributed, along with habitat destruction and other factors, to the extinction of many bird species. Cats have been known to extirpate a bird species within specific regions and may have contributed to the extinction of isolated island populations. Cats are thought to be primarily, though not solely, responsible for the extinction of 33 species of birds, and the presence of feral and free ranging cats makes some locations unsuitable for attempted species reestablishment in otherwise suitable locations. Since cats were venerated in ancient Egypt, they were commonly believed to have been domesticated there, but there may have been instances of domestication as early as the Neolithic from around 9,500 years ago (7,500 BCE). A genetic study in 2007 concluded that domestic cats are descended from Near Eastern wildcats, having diverged around 8,000 BCE in West Asia. A 2016 study found that leopard cats were undergoing domestication independently in China around 5,500 BCE, though this line of partially domesticated cats leaves no trace in the domesticated populations of today. As of a 2007 study, cats are the second most popular pet in the United States by number of pets owned, behind the first, which is freshwater fish.

Keep your child reading!
My granddaughter LOVES this series of books! She is 11 years old and an excellent reader (reading at a 9th grade level) but the books are written for her age level for both boys and girls. These adventures are witty, fun and exciting.

Fantastic Fiction
I rate this product 5 stars because the quality of the books is great. It is definatly worth the money, (consider the 6 books) and the time it takes to order them. They aren't that cheap paperback printing that falls apart the first time it gets read. About the writing itself, it is very creative. The descriptive details enhance the story. The plot, setting, characters, problem, and the solution are well thought out. If I should say, there are many mini problems throughout the story. Each individual book is just the right length for a 9-12 year old to read. They average around 300 pages. The service was great. I got them a day before the expected delivery date. The price of these on AMAZON is way cheaper than what you would find in a bookstore. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys fantasy or creative storytelling. What an awesome buy that I made! I would order from this seller again in the future.

A Surprising Gem of a Series.
A friend mentioned this series to me, mostly kidding me about my love for cats (I have two) but also because they thought I'd be interested. I thought not- I am not a fan of the "fantasy" fiction genre', and am an avid Tom Clancy, Alistair MacLean, Ian Fleming manly/adventure category. I gave this series a try anyway. Worse comes to worse, I could read them to my cats. The writing, perspective, plot, realism and pace are incredible. Seriously. Try to put one of these down. They are a hidden gem. I'm honestly surprised. I didn't expect to like these, but I love them. They are an incredible escape, great writing and give you a perspective and appreciation for cats you may have never had. In short- a treasure. Actually, I'd love to see this series made into a movie series.

O arco The power of three

Molto soddisfatta dell'acquisto!

3.Staffel Warrior Cats
