Fiji Cube Low Profile External Overflow Box (1200 GPH)

Solid construction, well packaged, great product. I used the hole saw provided and it worked without issue. I will say when working with this type of hole saw it’s important to check that it’s not crooked/wobbly in the drill. The template was easy to use and everything fit very nicely.

Very impressed with the quality of this product. fit and finish are terrific. Comes with high quality bulkheads and fittings. The pop off weir chamber attaches very securely, but will be easy to detach and clean

Everything is great! I love the low profile box inside the tank. The plumbing was just right for 1” PVC. The part that was a near miss for me: I use a bean animal to keep it quiet and it works like a charm. It’s virtually silent. But if the outer box was any smaller, and I mean any smaller, I wouldn’t be able to fit the 1” bean animal in it. I had regular PVC 90’s… and they wouldn’t fit! Scary!!! So I went back to the store and bought street L’s. They just BARELY fit… But they DO fit.

The build quality of the actual overflow and components is top notch. However, do not use the included glass hole saw. Against my better judgment I used the one that came with the kit. It is very much a bottom of the bin hole saw. Mid cut on second hole the shaft bent and sent a crack running between both holes. $1500 aquarium in the trash. Really kicking myself because I had a lot nicer of a hole saw in the garage. If this was my first time drilling glass I would be extremely upset that such a low quality hole saw was included. I’m sure I’m one of the few that this has happened to with this kit, however, save yourself the heartache and get a better holesaw or you will be stuck with a nice overflow box that you can no longer use. Buying another aquarium is not in the budget

3 stars because the guide was bigger than the diamonds bit that came with the kit which made my bit bounce everywhere also the diamond bit was rusted on the inside when I pulled it out? Haven't tested the actual box yet but I've used them before and they work great. Also Note that if you do have a rimmed tank you are going to have to cut the trim if you want the water line on the bottom of the trim on both sides most likely. Update 2 stars now the bulkheads are cheap crap. Would highly recommend changing them to quality ones or flat put go to another product. This overflow has been nothing but issues so far. Also been having trouble ACTUALLY making a bean animal with the provided room. Use street elbows if your going animal bean.

Was simple to set up and drill my 120 gallon tank with the included drill bit. If you have a rimmed tank don't forget to buy a couple extra gaskets for the space between the tank and overflow box. I set mine up as bean animal and it is almost completely silent.

My tanks is very thick so the threads on the bulk head aren’t long enough to start the nut. As the directions state, double gasket with a rimmed tank. Since I can’t get the nut started I’m left trying to figure something else out. Maybe have to find different bulk heads. Also my package was missing a gasket so I’m short one. Hope I can make this work! Also the bulk heads are not threaded inside so I’m assuming I can glue PVC pipe but instructions don’t say if that’s what’s intended or not…
