It has a use-by date. Store in a cool room or shed. In the fridge once opened. Bring it out before use as it goes hard like butter. Can hack it out with a teaspoon but easier to take it out before use along with meat you fry it in as meat relaxes when fried at room temperature. Enhances beefy flavour of beef steak. Good for sirloin. Save drippings for another day. Extra-juicy for fried onions as an accompaniment.
