Comfortable and warm without itching.

Perfect base layer for chilly weather.
There are 2 version of MBL 110 base force heavyweight there is (95% polyester 5% elastane spandex) and ( 80% polyester 20% wool). The poly/elastane has a tight waffle weave. Durring strenuous hiking/climbing at 20°F the poly/spandex is cooler when venting out heat/sweat than poly-wool blend. I prefer the poly-wool because its all around warmth/ breathability. Its more of a smartwool feel and reduces sweaty B/O. This is my 4th year wearing carhartt poly-wool instead of my smartwool and marino-wools.

Happy with purchase. This is terrific as a base layer—light weight but warm, very comfy and soft.

Not worth the price.
I bought this top along with the matching pant for my adult grandson who works outside in the IL cold weather every day. I also bought him 2 less expensive pair of long johns in different brands. He said this shirt fit well but he didn't think the shirt or pants were any warmer than the other "waffle-type" I bought him which were a quarter of the cost. I'm very disappointed especially given the cost and the Carhartt name. I searched for the warmest long johns I could find and read tons of reviews. Most of the reviews for this item were good but were a big disappointment. Would not recommend you spend the money.

Warm and comfy
I have been looking for a base layer for months and this one fits great, warm and light.

Yeas, this costs $50 and never gets discounted, but overall, it is a very warm base layer.

Piled very quickly.
Not the quality that I was hoping for. It looked very nice until I washed it once (gentle cycle, with Woolite, air dry). Then it piled immediately.
