HIKARI Herptile Dragon Gel Reptile Food Complete Diet for Insect & Vegetable Eating Lizards, Live Feed Replacement for Bearded Dragons, Ocellated Lizards & Water Dragons

Following the passing of my Son’s large rescue Nile Monitor Lizard, we went looking not for a replacement, not because we could ever replace him, but to give a life to another little guy. So a local pet shop had a number of these water dragons which were 3 months born. So we grabbed one, and as we had a very large self made vivarium it would be ideal. Over a couple of months she began to struggle eating and her mobility. Our specialist Vet who confirmed calcium and lighting issues. Lighting we have addressed. His suggested food was this Hikari which was rich in everything that we needed to pull her through. She took to this food immediately and still takes it as a supplement to her now normal live foods. Calcium supplement is on another review. This food is not just for for the water dragon but is enjoyed by our Bearded.

Our bearded Dragon loves this, it doesn't last long! It seems a steep price for mushed up bug gel, I would be more satisfied with greater quality or lower price, but there doesn't seem to be anything similar available.

This lizard food is great to keep in the fridge in case you run out of live food. My beardy loves it and attempts to suck it from the pouch even though he doesn’t have lips! It’s not bad value for money either, it lasts longer than you think. Overall a great product that’s easy to use and an easy way to give your dragon some good nutrition.

My juvenile dragon loves this stuff. After he’s had a couple veg he turns his nose up at the food I offer…until I give him the squishy green stuff. Nom nom nom 🤤 A little goes a long way - great value for money. The size of the package fits in my hand like a squeeze yoghurt. It’s good and does what it says it does, getting nutrients into my dragon.

Brought this to try when local pet shop had no live food. Beardie did like it, but it ran out quickly. Wouldn't recommend over live food, but okay when in a pinch.

The product itself is good and my beardie loves it (I purchased it 15 times). However, for some reason, the Amazon package is listed as containing an e-cigarette-related product (!!), which requires me to show ID to pick it up. It happened the last two times. I hope this can be resolved next time.

Great all in one product for our Bearded Dragons! When I don't have the time/effort to make a full vegetable salad, this gives my girls proper nutrition! It's like healthy fast food! Even the pets need take-out every now and then! Nice to know I can give them something healthy when I am short on time. This product is also a great way to care for the beardies when they are in the care of a pet sitter. No need to food prep.

Beardie was a bit unsure the first time, but one taste was all it took. I suspect he would eat so much as to make himself sick if I didn't limit it. It doesn't have as much gel in it as I would have hoped. That said, you want to have it consumed fairly quickly anyway (certainly within a month when kept in the fridge). I sometimes hide what I'm doing when I pull this out because Fossey (beardie) starts running back and forth in the tank trying to find a way through the glass to this yummy treat. I DO need to massage it a bit before giving it to him, and the wait is evidently devastating for my excited little boy, lol. Wish I got a little more for the money -- he can go through this quickly. But if you want a happy dragon, this will delight them.
