Taste 1 star Overall product amazing! I tried it in a smoothie and could not get over the taste. I take 6 to 8oz of Ocean Spray 100% Cranberry juice or CranPinapple and mix the scoop in the juice. It tastes tolerable but I drink it quick. It has helped my blocked up intestines. My skin is also looking much smoother and better. I just bought another since it is still on sale.

I bought the Garden of Life Raw Organic Food Alkalizer & Detoxifier because I was looking for a clean, organic green powder to support digestion and detox. I love that it’s non-GMO, gluten-free, and packed with alkalizing greens and probiotics. While the lemon ginger scent is actually quite pleasant, I’m not going to lie—the taste is not. It has that classic “green powder” bitterness, so instead of mixing it with their recommended 8 oz of water, I use a small amount of water just enough to quickly get it down in one gulp. Then I follow it with a glass of warm water and a bit of honey, and that works really well for me. Despite only using 1/4 of the recommended scoop, I’ve already noticed I’m going to the bathroom more regularly and just feeling “lighter.” This means one jar is going to last me at least 4 months, which makes it an excellent value. Overall I’m really happy with the product and the benefits I’m experiencing.

Update on 7/16/15: Okay, so I'm near the bottom of the can now. I've gotten so used to the taste, that I simply stir a scoop in a glass of water, or I add several scoops to a gallon jug of distilled water, and I drink it straight like that. I find that if I skip a day, I even start craving this green drink. When I started taking this, I was weaning myself off coffee (well, I quit "cold turkey"). I've noticed that my energy level has been very good...in fact it's higher now and I need less sleep than I did when I drank coffee. I have noticed that all the extra iron has given me darker stools and constipation as is typical of most iron supplements. You may want to watch out for that. Original review: Taste is so subjective. I read that some said it was too sweet, while others said it wasn't sweet at all or it tastes terrible. In my experience, there is a definite sweetness from the stevia, but it wasn't too sweet. As far as taste, there is no way that you can make grass taste like a strawberry smoothie. But for grass, the slight sweetness made it tolerable. It wasn't overly bitter or anything. I will update my review after I've finished the container.

I really enjoyed using this. Great nutrients . The taste isn't the best but that's expected. No upset stomach. Overall value for money. Nice greeny smell

I'll try to make this short and informative. I purchased a juicer in order to get my wife's acidic body more alkaline, in ADDITION to using the raw organic apple cider vinegar (she drank 1 tbsp in morning and evening with water AND I had her doing the detox bath with it--2 cups of ACV per tub of water. Look up how to use it in a bath before doing it, however. We did this routine for about a MONTH, the ACV maybe 2 weeks, faithfully. During that time, I tested her acidity and alkalinity levels daily and I was not getting her alkalinity levels to the desired 7.0 in urine samples and so went back to researching for ways to do that faster than I was. (It was increasing a little but not enough for me) That's when I found this product. She took this TWICE and today, on the third morning, her PH was 7.0!!! (the recommended level) THANK GOD. I was beginning to search what would prevent a body from becoming alkaline, but now I don't have to. The juiced diet did help and gave her great energy, she felt overall much better. But this stuff here is like a punch to the system. She has even more energy too. I will continue testing her urine every morning and throughout the day for about a week to ensure I'm getting a proper reading. I will update this review as needed but I wanted to come and give this for those seeking a way to raise their alkalinity. THE ONLY PROBLEM with this product is the TASTE but for what you get??? JUST DOWN IT!!! But the show my wife puts on when she drinks it makes me cringe. We began trying to find ways to make it taste better, but as one reviewer put it, you just end up prolonging the evil with more ounces of it. So you end up with strong tasting s*** or flavored s***. If I find a concoction that removes the taste bud torture, I will post it, until then, take your medicine like a big girl or boy. Oddly enough, mixing it with water, prune juice, and a small amount of honey, nearly removed the taste altogether. So, if you like yummy prune juice lol, try that. ***** Update: I started giving my wife MSM and she went through a detox. The day after, I tested her urine and it was back down in the FIVES. I panicked and searched for side effects of a detox and sure enough, acid levels read high during them due to the fact they are leaving the system! Another THANK GOD here. I will continue updating.

Definitely is the real stuff. Gone through several different products. None of them have compared to this.
