This item fits the functional and aesthetic requirements I set for my electric pencil sharpener, and I recommend this product. FUNCTIONALITY Pros - Perfectly sharpens my pencils every time - Fairly quiet for a sharpener and "sound" changes when your pencil's fully sharpened - Very easy to empty bin, and bin is large enough that you don't have to empty it often - Length of power cord is generous Cons - I'm not sure if this pencil sharpener can handle multiple, heavy users but it is more than enough for a family with kids AESTHETICS Pros - Vertical design doesn't take up valuable desk space - I never thought I'd describe a pencil sharpener, but I think it's pretty and it definitely isn't an eye sore (I see my sharpener every time I'm on my laptop as it sits behind it) Cons - None

This is an AMAZING pencil sharpener. to start off, this thing can sharpen literally ANY pencil that you put in it. The blades on this machine are great they easily sharpened a dulled out off- brand pencil. This sharpener will sharpen pencils, colored pencils, and even cheap hard to sharpen pencils. The only complaint I have with the sharpener is the size of the shaving holder, but that is not a major issue. Overall, I would recommend this pencil sharpener to anyone that is in need of a good pencil sharpener.

I am a college student and have a 5 year old in school so we needed a pencil sharpener to keep at home. It has a decent size cord and the noise is not annoying or too loud. It works amazing! It sharpens quickly and you can even buy cheap pencils and THE LEAD WON'T BREAK afterwards!!! This was the main reason I bough it. My lead always broke with a manual pencil sharpener!

We have a kindergärtner and a third grader, and use this just about everyday during homework time. It's a decent model. The pencils don't come out with extremely sharp tips, but they are certainly sharp enough to get the job done. For the price, this sharpener provide good value and reliably meets our daily needs.

Works just as expected and my kids can use it easily enough. Would buy another one if I needed it. The first part of my review is what I first thought of the product. I should have waited to review it. It quit working with no reason what so ever. Yeah my kids used it but I was always supervising and they never misused it. This product SUCKS! Plus you only have a month to return it and it quits at about 3 months so then you are SOL!

Have not used it a whole lot yet, but so far it seems to work really well as long as you use just the right amount of pressure. My kids are still figuring out what 'gently' means. Update: Its been over 4 years of pretty consistent use with this little machine now, and I had to change my review from 4 to 5 stars! It is still working as well as it did when it was new and it has never given me any problems, even when the kids 'accidentally' sharpened the wrong end of a pencil and filled the wasted receptacle with eraser and metal shavings! I would definitely recommend this to anyone, and would buy it again if this one ever croaks!

My 6-year-old is addicted to sharpening pencils now. She will sit there and sharpen a dozen or more at a time. And then she'll dump the shavings in the garbage on her own too. We used to have a battery-operated sharpener, but it was not very sturdy and ended up breaking quickly in my kid's hands. This one, however, has lasted already for several months and is still going strong. Great pencil sharpener for all that homework coming home!

We've had this sharpener for about 5 months now and it's been great. Sticking the pencil in vertically seems to be easier for children than a horizontal pencil sharpener. It's easy enough to empty. It does not stop sharpening automatically when the pencil is sharp, but the sound does change tone. The tone change is significant enough that my kids have learned to listen for when their pencil is sharpened. I am happy with this purchase.

Love!!!! It is so powerful and fast you could buzz through an entire pencil in less than 5 secs lol. Works great for any kind of pencils, great for hard pencils like Crayola's. Everyone that uses it orders one for themselves, I should get a commission for all the referrals lol

Very nice sharpener! I have one I purchased elsewhere and I bought this one for a Christmas present. The one I have seems to be holding up well and I like the tip it gives...very sharp for intricate colouring.

Have had this for a year now and it works great. I love sharp pencils!
