While I have no issue with the radio, the batteries do not last as long as an old version of the same radio.

Great quality radio I put it on charge when I first got it as stated in the instructions ,only took 3 hours to fully charge so far it’s been on for 8 hours and still showing fully charged , sound quality is good , great value and a quality manufactured radio 😁👍

I have had a small DAB radio for a long time and use it a lot. However all that use took it's toll and it became unreliable and most importantly hard to turn on and off. I had had it apart a few times and got some more months of use out of it but in the end decided to replace itAmazon is awash with DAB radios of this style and size, but I selected this because it was at least designed and developed in the UK. And also by chance was reduced in the 2023 Black Friday event. I was keen to try and support UK manufacturers if I could and this was a small way to do soSummary of the radio - easy to set up - did it without the manual. Tuning was fast to get all the stations. Easy to assign favourites (again without the manual), and quite quick to start making a noise from the power button press - ~ 5 seconds.Opportunities for improvement - it's very light and feels easy to knock over (especially with the aerial extended that raises the centre of gravity), and I think the volume could be a bit louder - I need to have it a max volume to hear whilst I am in the shower (and the old radio was no where near the same volume setting)So far the first battery charge has lasted a longer than quoted I think so a bonus as wellHappy with purchase so farUpdate after more useThe battery life is not as good as I'd hoped and I have to charge it more often than I'd hoped and more than my previous DAB radio. I've been refurbishing my garage over the summer for 3 days a week for a number of weeks so have been using it seriously 8+hrs a day and depending on the state of charge on Friday morning I've had to charge it twice over the weekend which is a bit disappointing. No issue with anything else already written above but the battery life is a let down for me and I've changed the rating to 4 as a result.Still happy that there's a greater element of UK content though as it's designed here even if made in China

Big deal here for me is the portability and chargeable batteries, if you think a battery charger and something like four AAA won't leave much change out of £20, you have a DAB radio for £15.- Some people seemed to have missed the dimensions in the description, it's small, think paperback book small, so- no real bass to speak of, basic physics, but voices and vocals are nicely clear and it's free of nasty spitty tinniness- reception is OK works just as well in that respect as my PURE EVOKE- the case has a nice rubbery grippy feel too, so if you are moving it around all good.- I cant speak to the battery life yet as it's still on its first charge but I'm not knocking off stars for what I don't know- instructions aren't super clear but once you have the presets done you can forget that.A bargain!

I was looking for a replacement for my old Roberts DAB radio, after it was dropped one too many times and stopped working. I'd found a few on Amazon that looked promising, but chose this one based on its size and ease of use. And so far, it's lived up to all my expectations.The radio arrived with a small amount of charge in it, allowing me to set it up straight away. On first switching it on, it performed an auto tune, successfully finding all the DAB stations. I was able to quickly and easily save my favourite stations by scanning through the channels, then long pressing the appropriate button on the front (1 to 6). Once set up and ready to go, I left it to charge completely and I'm pleased to say that after daily light use (around 1-2 hours per day), it's yet to be charged again over a month later.Overall I'm happy with this radio. Sound quality compared to my old Roberts radio is no where near as clear or crisp, but this is £40 cheaper than that one, so I'd fully expect that. On the plus side, it's much lighter than my old Roberts radio and the station buttons and volume control are much easier to use. It takes a little longer to find the station it's tuned to when first switching it on, but once it's found it I've never experienced any interference or loss of reception.For the price, size and build quality I'd definitely recommend giving this radio a try.

I bought this radio for my elderly father as he had to go into a care home and likes to listen to the radio.I bought this particular radio because it seemed easy to set up so that he only had to press one of five buttons to quickly access his favourite stations.The assignment of individual stations to one of the 5 buttons has a serious weakness in its design. If you hold the button for a few seconds then whatever station you are currently listening to gets assigned to that button.Due to his age and dexterity, he presses the buttons and if he holds them for one second too long then the tuning is completely messed up.I wrote to the manufacturer and asked if the station settings could be locked in some way, or the timing lengthened to avoid the problem. They wrote back and said that' s the way it is!The other problem is the USB connection cable for charging the battery. It is weak and already damaged.So in summary, the radio is not at all suitable for older people and the battery charging lead/socket is flimsy. The sound quality is poor as well, so I would not recommend this product.EDIT - July 2022 Update information. The power supply connecter is awful it is based on some kind of miniature USB connection and totally unsuitable for purpose. After just a few months it has broken and the radio cannot be charged anymore. Therefore unfit for purpose.

It looks good, sounds good and works OK straight out of the box.But the 2nd time I tried to re-charge it, the screen flickered on/off and it died.It would not recharge!It would not switch on!OK, after a week I did eventually manage to get it working again by trying different chargers and cables but I was not impressed. DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR THIS RADIO!

Our old radio started to fade in and out of tuning which was very annoying - we use it as an additional security device when out for the day.This is a great radio. It is sturdy but a great design and very easy to tune in to set the presets - as usual I didn't actually read the instructions and I still managed it! Clear instructions are included and also a cable to charge using a USB. The radio came with about 50% charge and took a couple of hours to charge fully. So far it is still showing a full charge so the battery life is very good. I am very pleased so far.

Funziona molto bene, anche se quando la batteria va a terra si cancellano tutte le memorie.Se si tiene in un posto diciamo fisso direi che conviene tenere il caricabatteria attaccato alla rete. Non so però se questo possa rovinare a lungo tempo la batteria che non è sostituibile.Ho scoperto che dove io vivo non c'è alcuna radio DAB ma ho portato la radio con me in viaggio verificando che la sintonia DAB è ottima, facile ed efficace con una qualità di suono davvero notevole.L'assistenza è ottima. Ho scritto una mail (in inglese) per chiedere chiarimenti sulla ricezione DAB e sul modo di spegnere la radio (ha sia uno stand.by che uno spegnimento completo che però perde il settaggio) e mi hanno risposto subito ed in modo esauriente. Non so dire se scrivendo in italiano siano in grado di rispondere.

Fantastische radio. Niet te groot, niet te klein. Erg handig dat ie oplaadbaar is. Menu is eenvoudig en intuïtief. Zowel DAB als FM hebben een zeer goed ontvangst. Het geluid is bovengemiddeld en beter dan ik had verwacht. Kortom; super apparaat.

We don't have DAB yet but the standard FM sounds great. We did have to buy an adapter for the USB though as we don't yet have USB outlets on our power points

Aunque solo cuente con cinco memorias, la radio cumple su cometido. Se oye muy bien y se carga por micro-usb, por lo que aunque no dura muchos días, la carga es bastante rápida.
