Washed Duck Bartlett Jacket

I am a female who hates womens' clothing - flimsy, pinchy, no pockets, inconsistent sizing - and since I'm not blessed with curves, mens' clothing fits me better, anyway. I wear 32/32 mens' pants, and ordered the XL, because I didn't want it to be tight over a sweater/hoodie. In retrospect, the Large would have been better, but I love it and could potentially gain a bunch of weight, so I'm keeping it. I haven't owned a winter coat since 2014, when I moved away from Ohio. However, I lost some of my "natural insulation," so my hoodie doesn't cut it anymore, even living in Georgia. This coat is HEAVY. It will probably pull the command-strip coathook down, but it is WARM. The lining in the arms is gathered around the wrists, and the hood is shaped so that it keeps my ears warm even when the coat isn't buttoned or zipped all the way. The side pockets are weirdly small. They keep my hands warm, but I wouldn't keep my keys in there, because the pockets are shallow enough that they could fall out. Fortunately, it has PLENTY of other pockets that zip or snap, so reserving the side pockets for cold hands is OK. It's not something I'd wear to the opera, but I don't go to the opera, so that is fine with me. Personally, I like how it looks on me, even if it is a little bit oversized. I don't think I'll have to buy another winter coat for a long, long time, and that is delightful.

This is an excellent coat. Highly recommended. Fit: I’m 6’1”, 220lbs, broad across the chest and shoulders and the regular XL fits great. I saw some concerns about the length but I think it’s probably a personal preference thing. The front hits me a couple inches below the waist and the back is a bit longer. Warmth: I wore this jacket with just a t-shirt in the upper 30’s with heavy wind and felt fine. It blocks the wind very well and it was warm without being hot. Quality: This coat is well made and it looks great. The front hand pockets are a little awkward (they are lined thankfully) but nothing close to a dealbreaker. My other Carhartt jacket is 30 years old and going strong. I’ll let you know if this one makes it that long. Overall I’m very happy.

Love this jacket. Excellent fit, superb styling and has already kept me toasty warm in sub-freezing temps. This was my first major Carhartt purchase (I've bought shirts and caps before) and worth every penny. My only complaint is the location and design of the inside left breast pocket which I use for my wallet. It sits slightly lower than all my other jacket pockets and the zipper can be tricky to open and close. Frankly, I don't think it needs a zipper.

I bought this jacket as a gift for my husband, and he absolutely loves it! He works outside in Colorado, and this jacket keeps him warm and comfortable, even in the colder weather. The sherpa lining is cozy, and the relaxed fit makes it easy to move around in. It’s durable, practical, and looks great. Definitely a solid choice for anyone who spends time outdoors in chilly conditions!

I’m 5’10” 215-220 lbs and the xl fits pretty good. A little extra room but that’s ok in case I wanna layer. Fast delivery, only took like 3 days. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is cuz of the hood. It’s stiff and hits the back of my neck but that could just be a breaking in issue. Haven’t worn it yet cuz it’s still too warm out but it feels like it’s gonna be a very warm and rugged coat for the winter.

I grabbed this jacket for my husband as a surprise and he's been super happy with it. He was already a big fan of Carhartt products, but this jacket may have pushed him into super fan territory. We're in Northern Minnesota and he routinely wears this jacket while completing his farm chores. He reports that it's warm, perfect for layering, waterproof and doesn't hinder his ability to get stuff done as it fits him perfectly through the shoulders, which has been a problem with other jackets. From my perspective, it's easy to clean, is made from outstanding materials, has an excellent zipper and I love the color on him. Win-win!

Real product as advertised worth every penny. Feels like I’m wearing a slain polar bear instead of just a jacket. Zipper is great, wind resistance makes it feel like wind doesn’t exist, hood is like wearing a severed bear head and isn’t too bulky either, maintains structure without compromising leisure.

Fits well as described! Bought for my son who is 5’11 size large. Nice spring/fall medium weight jacket that wicks moisture, protects from wind and keeps you warm! Authentic Carhartt product.
