Skechers Men's Gowalk 5 Apprize-Double Gore Slip on Performance Walking Shoe Sneaker

My husband lives in these. He's on his feet all day and said how comfortable they are. He wears out a pair once a year and we rebuy. Good quality, comfy design. Nice looking style too.

Most all Skechers slip ons run 1/4 to 1/2 size large. If you are between sizes like some shoes you're a 10 and other you are a 10-1/2 get a 10. If you are a consistent 10, try 9.5 unless you have wide feet. I wear a 10 in most shoes, 10-1/2 in Adidas. I went 9.5 and toe box is really snug but with a little break-in stretch out, they'll be perfectly, not uncomfortably snug. If you don't go on the snug size the shoes will loosen up a little and being slip ons you'll get heel slip and wish you had laces. I liked the look and thinner more breathable fabric of the Go Walk Flex with the fake laces but those had major heel slip because they don't have the little elastic bands connecting the tongue area with the side of the shoe like these do. These have fairly grippy soles as far as Skechers go which isn't that grippy but better than most their other soles. These soles are spongy and light and not dense rubber so made for comfort not to last 100's of miles on the road. I'd prefer a bit more sporty/younger look than the Dad Loafer look but these are fairly sporty looking for having the Dad Loafer look. In the end you have to go with what fits best and looks second (ya, try to tell your wife/girlfriend that LOL) and these fit the bill. For the price, for very comfortable slip-ons that you can walk long distances in comfortably with very little to no heel slip, I can't think of any other models/brands I tried that can beat these. The fabric could be a bit less thick and more breathable but that's getting pretty nit-picky and only going to come into play in very hot weather outdoors.

We had a family trip planned to go to a couple of very well known theme parks in California. Since I knew that I would be doing a lot of walking, I wanted a new pair of comfortable shoes. I searched all over Amazon and decided on these bad boys, mostly because they were slip on and had memory foam soles. I am 5’11” and as my doctor so rudely puts it “morbidly obese”. Whatever! I had worn these shoes a couple of days at the office to break them in before the trip. The day of the trip arrived and these shoes were amazing for going through airport security. They easily slipped off and back on so I didn’t have to do my usual awkward dance of trying to hustle and put my shoes back on standing by the X-ray machine. Usually it ends up with me stumbling around while also trying to put my belt back on, hoping that I don’t moon the poor old lady next to me. These shoes did really good for the first few hours at the theme park. They are lightweight and good breathable material. As the day grew on the memory foam started to develop amnesia. But to be honest I think walking at least 10 miles and standing in line for hours will do that to the best of them. You could probably take a precious ring halfway to a volcanic mountain wearing these shoes. By the end of the night my dogs were dead tired. Needless to say these shoes did their job of covering my feet and I didn’t develop any blisters. They were also real easy to kick off at the end of the long day.

These Sketchers are incredibly comfortable and of course, easy to slip in and out of. This is my second pair of Sketchers. I recently bought a lace up style to use indoors with my exercise bike and rower so I wouldn't be dragging my dirty running shoes in and out of the house. Then I decided I wanted a slip-on pair with no laces for around the house and quick runs to the store or wherever for the non-Winter seasons. These absolutely fit the bill. The one caveat for me is that they ran large for me. I bought my first pair of Sketchers in my normal size of 13W, and they fit fine, or else maybe the laces kept them from feeling too loose. I ordered the same size for these, and when I tried them on, my heels were literally coming out of the shoe when I walked. I ended up exchanging them for a 12W, and that did the trick. The 12s fit perfectly. So, great shoe, but be aware of the size issue. Though as usual, the Amazon exchange procedure was fast and painless, so it's easy enough to exchange them if you get the wrong size.

Best shoes I’ve ever bought very comfortable

These shoes are really nice and soft to wear but the bottoms wear out after a few months of regular wear. Regular wear meaning walking a few miles a day on mixed surfaces. The shoes are a little large but that isn't bad since I wear extra wide shoes and I was surprised that a 10 extra wide fit instead of needing a 10.5 extra wide. I've had 3 pairs so far because they are really great for just running to the store or other quick errand. The problem is when I tried to wear them daily including 5 miles of total dog walking on mixed surfaces, then the bottoms wear away too quickly and the interior support crushes but they may only happen for heavy people. The first pair I bought lasted 3 months before you could see through the bottom, the second pair the bottoms are almost warn through when the interior support crushed, no longer providing arch support like it did at the start. If I put arch supports in the shoe they are OK to wear but not as nice as the start. Without arch support the shoes aren't wearable.

I got these for my dad and he is 94 years old and his old Skechers had worn out on him. He needed a good part of slip-on because of his age and he has had two hips replaced a few years back. So, I told him about these and showed him the picture and he said to get them. When they arrived and he put them on he really liked them and they look better in person then in the picture. He told me, he wanted to get another pair of them and I told him okay to just let me know and I would order them for him. They are not heavy at all. He likes them because of the price, they are lite fit and the color plus they are skid proof sole, which makes me feel better about him having them and true to size. His other ones he wore the sole down so much there wasn't hardly any left. I am glad he is enjoying them and we will be ordering another pair for him. My dad is 5'7 and his weight is 166. These were a size 10.
