Works great
Great chain lube without the mess

Best dry lube I have tried so far.
Works great on bicycles. No need to pre clean the chain. It dry's in approx. 40 mins in dry weather. I ride near the ocean and there is sand here and there but mostly a clean ride. It keeps the chain lubed and clean for approx. 100 miles. Then I notice the chain start to skip a bit. It works well in winter on salted roads but needs to be applied more often. It does not allow any gunk on the drive train including the cassette, so I don't have to clean it.

This live is the best I've ever used
This is a very good product I recommend it to anyone with a chain on their bicycle or motorcycle

Great for dry weather for me, not sure about rain or dirt abuse, I see very little of either.
This is a good lube, not getting all over the place when in dry areas. I live in Alabama, south Alabama, so it is not super hot, and not wet either. I ride on good days, which is most of the time, but rainy days are mostly off limits (I just don't want to get wet). The chain lube works great and never has slung off on the wheel or frame, but after 1 month of dry rides, I rode in the rain. I had not put more lube on, and it was just starting to clack a little reminding me to add more lube, but I put it off. The rain was just a light rain, barely even got me wet, but the pavement was wet with very shallow puddles. The lube is now all over my rear frame, wheel, and all the spokes, what a mess. I am not sure if I will change my lube, but this stuff works great when dry. As for the application, I put it on outside, turning the chain and spraying the lowerst point so not to get it on the sprockets or frame. I put just enough to make the chain look wet. I then sit it down, leave the bike outside, and allow the chain to rest for at least 20 minutes, giving the lube time to dry a little, if there is such a thing. It works well, just not in the rain as far as I can tell.

Easy to use, not messy, works great!
Often one of the most neglected essential parts of a motorcycle is the chain. I see so many bikes that have all kinds of gunk build up on the chain and greasy yuck all around the sprockets and wheel. This product eliminates that problem with a good cleaning first and then lubricating. I will be using Teflon Chain Saver from now on for my motorcycle. I put the bike on a rear stand, cleaned the chain first from all the old grease, dirt, and grime. Then I spun the wheel by hand and sprayed this lubricant on the chain. It comes out a bit runny but I had a shop rag nearby and wiped the chain as I sprayed. Once it's dry it not thick or sticky and does not fly off and get all over everything on the first ride like many chain lubricants. + Dries Quickly + Not Greasy or Sticky + Easy to Spray On + Does Not Attract Debris (Because it's not all sticky) + Lasts Quite a Long Time, I reapply every 300-500 miles with no issues. I clean chain first each time before lubricating. + Great Value for the Size - A bit runny but it's not a big deal just keep a rag handy if you don't want it all over the floor. _Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommed this to a friend. I actually let a friend use it on his bike this past summer and now he switched from what he was using and started using this stuff as well. I love it, it keeps my chain and sprockets clean and working great. I have used this stuff for about 6 months and still love it. 5 Stars for sure on this one.

My favorite motorcycle chain lube EVER!
I've been riding motorcycles for decades and have tried every lube product that's come down the pike. Most have done a great job of protecting the chain but all have had the same shortcomings โ the lube flings off the chain and onto the bike's body parts when riding and the lube is sticky and attracts dust and dirt, which adds unnecessary wear to the chain and sprockets. By contrast, DuPont's Chain Saver goes on wet but dries to a clear, almost invisible non-tacky coating that doesn't fling off and does not attract dirt, dust or debris. It's a very well thought-out product! Now that I've discovered it, I cannot imagine myself ever using anything else. Like all other spray-on chain lubes, it can be messy to apply so I use a large trash bag as a disposable tarp, covering up my rear stand, the bottom of the wheel and tire, and the cement floor underneath the tire. After lubing I toss the bag in the trash and voila! โ there's no mess. The Chain Saver takes about 20 minutes to set up but after that the bike is ready to ride. I spray on a little more after a few hundred miles then clean it off with kerosene and start afresh about every 1000 miles or so. It comes off easily when it's time to remove it. Incidentally I also tried the liquid version of DuPont's Chain Saver in the squeeze bottle, thinking I'd net more product because there's no propellant, but it seemed to take a lot more lube to get the same coverage as I got with the spray version. And the per ounce cost of the liquid version is significantly higher. So, my advice is to go with the spray version.

Ebike chain necessity
I first heard about Dupont Chain-Saver from a motorcycle buddy of mine. He swore by it and said it's the only chain lubricant he'd ever used on his motorcycles and that he got exceptional life out of his chains and sprockets. When I got an Ebike I was looking for a chain lubricant that would help extend the life of my chain because Ebike chain replacements run upwards of $50, so my first choice was Chain-Saver. (I was told by the bike shop to expect to have to change my chain anywhere from 1,500 miles upwards. I currently have 2,500 miles on my chain and it's still going strong.) I check for chain wear (sometimes referred to as chain stretch) weekly with the same tool they use in bike shops, and am always a little surprised as the miles pile up and the tool still shows little to any wear at all. Two caveats: I treat my chain after every ride, and I ride almost exclusively on regular roads in dry conditions. I rarely ride less than 25 miles, and sometimes up to 70 miles. Additionally, I never "degrease" the chain, even though Dupont also makes a product designed to do that. Sometimes I do take two toothbrushes after first applying this product to remove any surface dirt or dark oily dirty spots, then I use a rag to remove any further dirt. This serves as a limited degreaser/cleaner. Then I reapply the product, and let it wait overnight to dry and settle into the chain. I am thrilled with this product and would never use anything else. It's one of the most economic and effective solutions to the problem of untimely drive train wear. I do need to stress, however, that dry lube products, in general, are made for dry riding conditions. I am aware that in wet conditions the product is significantly less effective than wet lube products. But since I reapply Chain-Saver after every ride, that's less of an issue for me. If, however, I were to go on a 70+ mile ride, in wet conditions, I might consider bringing with me the travel size Chain-Saver can so I could reapply it before the end of the ride. But that's an extreme situation. (And not really a solution since it takes hours for Chain-Saver to settle into the inner sections of the chain.) When people look at my chain and rear cassette they assume they're both brand new because they are silver and shiny and sparkling clean. One bike shop junior mechanic suggested that I apply some oil to my drive train to make shifting smoother. I looked at him sideways and said: "Dude...this drive train is fully lubricated. With dry lube." He looked surprised. I never went back to that shop. Happy trails and ride safely.

stays waxy without drying out
I was confused by all the different non-oil lubricating sprays available, so I purchased a variety and tested them out to compare them against one another. I found that they all have different properties and are best suited for different applications. My testing was simple. I sprayed all the lubricants for an equal amount of time over an equal area of aluminum foil. I then monitored them all over a period of a week indoors at an ambient temperature of around 20C. Then I applied 100 grams of force to each test area and subjectively assessed the amount of reduced friction. (see photos) DuPont Silicone Surface Safe Lubricant. This contains silicone, Teflon, and ceramic boron. It remained fully liquid, thin, and runny even after a week. This seems ideal in situation where you have parts that require a liquid lubricant such as bearings, etc. Best to use this in situations where you would usually use oil, but when you cannot use oil-based products. DuPont Chain-Saver Dry Lubricant. This is a molybdenum and Teflon wax-based lubricant. This remained fully liquid, very thick and waxy after a week. This is formulated for bike chains, and I can see why. Ideal for mechanical parts that must engage and disengage repetitively. Another possible use might be for zippers or similar fasteners. DuPont Multi-Use High-Performance Lubricant. This contains Teflon and silicone. This is essentially a compromise between all the other lubricant sprays. It stays liquid and wet after a week, but is not a lubricating as the others, not as non-stick as the others, and not as friction-reducing as the others. If you can only have one bottle of non-oil lubricant spray, this is a good choice, but it is not the best at any one thing. Basically, like the WD-40 of silicone sprays. Super Lube 91110 Silicone Spray. After a week, leaves a very thin, nearly dry surface, incredibly slippery with the best friction-reducing properties of all the sprays I tried. Wonderful! Also, this is H1 food grade safe (ok for use in equipment used in contact with food). If you need to reduce friction on long rail and track mechanisms with minimal tackiness that might attract dust, this seems ideal! Super Lube 11016 Dri-Film Lubricant. After a week, leaves a dry surface, rather slippery in reducing friction and rather non-stick. This is also H1 food grade safe (ok for use in equipment used in contact with food). If you must have a fully dry film lubricant, this is my favorite! DuPont Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant. After a week, leaves a dry opaque white film. Not really slippery or lubricating against friction, but entirely non-stick. Essentially like Teflon PTFE in a can. In situations where you want a non-stick coating like PTFE, but using Teflon tape, etc. is not an option, this seems like an excellent choice.
