I have previously owned Sabatier knives myself and have always been pleased with them, so I bought a set of these for a friend whose knives were constantly blunt. These knives are absolutely incredible - better than my original ones, in fact. The handles are integrated with the blades and are painted black, rather than being made from separate pieces riveted onto the knife. The paint does eventually chip off, which unfortunately spoils the appearance a little, but this is the only shortcoming I can find. These knives are brilliant performers and represent exceptional value for money. No more tears when chopping onions!

I'm impressed with these knives overall, however I have to say I am somewhat surprised by the quality control as the box came sealed, yet two of the knives had sticky marks/residue on the handles, and those and another knife were slightly scuffed, again on the handles. The knife block itself also seems to be slightly worn on one of the edges, but I have no reason to believe these have been returned at any point, as all the packaging was intact. Otherwise, they're good. The self-sharpening is a great feature for the block to have, and it is very satisfying to remove and replace the knives when using. The only thing other than that that bothers me is that the knives don't all sit in the same position in the block. It's not a particularly snug fit, and some handles sit higher/lower than the others. 30 year guarantee is excellent, although I would hope it's not necessary.

Had these knifes for only 7 months, most of the handle coating has flaked off on one side of one of the knives. Shame really because the overall look of the knives when they were new was impressive.

Very nice knife set from sabatier, and yes it does sharpen the knives but I have found it's better if you hold the block while you do it otherwise I would recommend this ,thank you amazon

Se los vi a una amiga y me gusto el filo de los cuchillos. Tarda un poco en llegar pero vale la pena esperar. Excelente calidad y el filo perfecto. Tiene los cuchillos básicos y no necesitas mas. Para toda la vida. Ya estoy buscando esa marca para otros artículos de cocina.

These were a gift for my wife he used to work in the catering for industry. She was very pleased with the quality of the knifes and the self sharpening block

The set is perfect for our kitchen, it has the knives we wanted and looks lovely on top of the kitchen counter. The knives are pretty sharp and works perfectly. Love it!!

J’ai réceptionné mon article avec un défaut de fabrication … Impossible d’insérer le plus gros couteau dans son encoche, car le bois est mal coupé … On voit sur la photo qu’il y a encore du bois qui bloque donc le rangement … Je suis assez déçu
