Really sorry it's in the loft now, so I can't answer. Average size and adjustable legs. It was for my daughter post caesarean. Shes 5ft 3.

Is the commode ready assembled?

No, the legs and the back rest are separate BUT it is very easy to put together. The legs are adjustable, so you can change their height to suit who is using it. They just click in to place. Took me less than 5 minutes. And my Mum used it over Xmas with the recommended pads and liners, all in all, very easy to use and it's good value for the money.
