Peachtree Woodworking 4 x 10' Ultra Flex Clear Vue Heavy Duty PVC Dust Debris and Fume Collection Hose - (4 inch diameter by 10 feet long)

My ferrets love these and they are extra extra strong and thick and their teeth don’t even go through them so I highly recommend them for anyone that has ferrets or small animals like hamsters or gerbils or guinea pigs that they want to let have a little bit of fun.

This works well and is strong. I switch this between my sander and planer and have had no problems for 3 years. the plastic is thick and is holding up well. fits standard 4" dust ports.

The hose on my chipper/shredder's vacuum kit (Amazon# B01ITWN6CY <https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ITWN6CY/>) is stiff and tough to direct, mostly due to the heavy-gauge wire coil around the hose. However, that does little if anything for hose longevity, which is poor: in a season or so of use it may split several times, requiring duct-tape repair each time, with each repair making the hose even stiffer. So I went in search of a better 4"x10' hose, and narrowed it down to two: this one (Peachtree Woodworking PW375) and Amazon# B01M3Y1WTT (Peachtree Woodworking PW6168). From the descriptions, there's no way to choose between them: they appear to be from the same manufacturer, same seller, with no distinguishing data -- and they are even the same price. Fortunately, that price is low enough that I could buy both for the price of replacing my current heavy hose -- and that way would know the difference -- so I did, and two boxes arrived: (1) One labelled " Clear-Vue 375 4"x10' Clear PVC Hose", Bar Code: X001TG7K9T; (2) One labelled "Ultra-Flex 6168 4"x10' Clear PVC Hose", Bar Code: X0019C12E7. So far, so good ... except that BOTH boxes have the SAME label on a side panel: "Fulton Woodworking Tools and Accessories Ultra-Flex Clear Vue PVC Hose" In other words, the hose is both "Ultra-Flex (like PW6168) and "Clear-Vue (like PW375). So what is in the boxes? -- the SAME hose! The two hoses are IDENTICAL! But it gets weirder: The return address on one of the shipping labels (for PW6186) says "Peachtree Woodworking Supply Inc, 172 Trade Street, Lexington KY 40511". (The shipping label for PW375 has no return address.) But Peachtree Woodworking is in Peachtree Corners, GA, a suburb of Atlanta -- while "172 Trade Street, Lexington KY" is *NOT* Peachtree Woodworking, but an Amazon fulfillment center.(!) So: why take a hose described by the manufacturer as "Ultra-Flex Clear Vue PVC Hose" and give it two labels -- "Ultra-Flex PVC Hose" and "Clear-Vue PVC Hose" -- as if it were two different products? Why sell them on Amazon as two different products? I smell a rat, but can't see who profits from this nonsense -- certainly not customers. [Maybe the idea is just to sell more product -- to people (like me) who can't tell the difference, so get both.] It's all very weird. But the hoses are not bad: the 0.5mm PVC seems tough enough to do the job for my chipper-shredder, and the much lighter reinforcing wire makes the hose more flexible to use. That will make it easier to work with, and may even promote hose longevity. (If I learn anything significant in that regard, I will be back to update this review.)

Have gone through 5 Marshall ferret thru-ways in the past few years. This is a perfect alternative! Super thick and durable, easy to clean, no wires pocking out and most importantly to me not supporting Marshall's ferret products. 10/10 would recommend for any ferret owners

Being a novice woodworker I decided to expand my shop for more learning. I needed a dust collection system and good hoses are a must. This hose arrived on time , has great flexibility and cuts easy with wire snips. I picked up brackets to hang it against the wall with good stretch and so far everything is working perfectly.

This was the second time I purchased this hose. Nothing wrong with the first purchase; I just needed more. The hose has good flexibility and is tough. I use it for dust collection on my 4' x 4' CNC Router. I should note that flexibility comes with a small price. My 2 hp dust collector causes the hose to shorten a little when it's turned on. Not a big deal, but you may want to allow for it. I suggest you hook it to the dust collector and leave the other end unconnected. Turn on the dust collector and see how much the hose shortens. If it's hooked to a fixed tool, like a cabinet saw, it probably doesn't matter much. However, with a moving gantry on a CNC, it does.

I know using this product for my hedgehog to run around in play in is not its intended use; however, it is absolutely perfect! Not only is it durable, easy to clean, and quite maneuverable, but it also is long enough to provide her endless hours of entertainment. Thank you!

The downside of a very flexible hose is that it is not smooth inside, so airflow is affected. It is nice and thick and I don’t have any concerns about durability. I wish it was cheaper.

Very flexible in cold and warm weather. Thought the durability was going to be questionable but after installation and putting it threw the ringer I'm happy to say I think I will get lots of use out of it. The pencil pic they use is no lie you could stab it with a screwdriver and it will still stand up to it.
