Great quality for the price
This gesso is amazing! It is incredibly thick and rich, and covers really well even with just one coat. Because it’s so thick, it can really improve the surface quality of value and cheaper canvases with little effort. The texture when dry grabs the paint really well, and my colors appear brighter. My only complaint is how fast it dries. For most people, it’s probably a great thing. I use larger format canvas, and getting the whole thing covered evenly can sometimes be a challenge.

Great Gesso
This is a great product and covers really well. It is very thick, but not "pasty", and stays where you put it. The whole Art Basics line is worth the money. And no, I'm not in any way affiliated with the company. But I have taken classes from Finnabair and had the opportunity to try out most of her line. I have bought almost all of the products!

leaked
When the product arrived, the inner seal was broken, and the gesso got all over my hands when opened...however, other than a little cleanup of the jar, and hands, the gesso is awesome...I just wish the packaging was better...the leak was only thing keeping away a 5 star rating!

Art Basics always perfect
Use in my mixed media journal, replacement for black paint. It's such great stuff. Even cover canvases with it for a black background & need gesso for canvas anyway 2 keep ur paint from soaking 2 deep & saves u from having to use too much paint. Great product & love this company. Also arrived nicely packed.

Does it's job.
It's my first gesso, so I don't have a comparison. It does its job . Takes about 45 minutes to dry in my humid climate. Will order again.
