When cutting a 5mm deep v-channel in maple, the resulting channel is hard packed with dust/chips. Adding an additional finishing pass helps marginally, but there is still lots of manual work to clean out all the chips from the cut. I still recommend these bits since they are great for the price, but know that more cleanup work than expected may be needed when cutting some materials.
