Good quality marking knife
Quality built marking knife. It is a good size and the leather blade cover is a nice touch. Great for marking against a straight edge due the blade being flat on one side and beveled on the other. Although it did not need sharpening when it arrived, after a couple days of use, I got curious and gave it a couple of passes on the diamond stone on the beveled edge and honed the burr on the flat edge, and this thing is ridiculously sharp in literally 10 seconds. I'm impressed and would recommend. Also check out their marking gauges, I got the single blade gauge the same day as the knife and it is also a good quality product.

Great tool
Great! I wish I had added this years ago. I normally use a pencil, and if I needed extra accuracy I used a utility knife, but this works better. Very happy with it!

WATCH OUT ** IT IS WICKED SHARP **
Got to say, this is a great tool. I was impressed with the packaging, well done. You know what old woodworkers say โ no hand tool is ready right out of the box. Nice leather safety cap is well made, but kind of dry. I took it off started to condition it. The knife rolled of the table and stuck 1/2 ways through my foot. Just kidding, but it stuck in the rug. I went out to the shop & filed some flat spots in the handle. I noticed the wood was beautiful. I rubbed in a blend of walnut oil and beeswax, wow. Sometimes soon Iโm going to sand the whole handle and finish it. If theyโre buying good they ought to rub oil finish instead of thick lacquerโ faster cheaper and you donโt have to let dry. Like Mr. Meauge. Wax on - Wax off.

SHARP!
What I ordered and arrived as expected. Came VERY sharp and useable out of the box. Haven't had much chance to experience it in practical use yet. If anything noteworthy develops, I shall return.

Awesome marking knife
This marking knife is not only aesthetically pleasing but solidly built. It retains an edge well (did not dull the few times I accidently cut into aluminum from the square I was using to guide the knife). It cleanly severs hard maple wood fibers with ease. The included leather sheathe is perfect, it fits well, stays on securely (to the point that I routinely put it on my pocket with no worries) and protects the blade and user from accidental cuts. Overall a fantastic product that I would have gladly paid twice the price for.

Quality marking knife
I've been really happy with this marking knife. The blade is excellent quality steel that has held its edge under relentless use and even a tiny bit of abuse. Definitely worth picking one up. The only downside to the product is that the stitching on the leather sheath came apart after a few days of use. Not sure if this is because the blade cut the thread or if the stitching was defective from manufacturing. Not a deal breaker by any means as my KM Tools woodworking apron has a leather sheath for a marquee knife anyway.

Seriously disappointing
Thought I'd pay the extra money to get a "good" knife with a sheath. After one simple carving of dried spruce there were several chips in the blade which obviously wasn't tempered properly.

Years on, still sharp and beautiful
Iโve loved this marking knife. Sharp straight out of the box. Iโve used it on Australian Jarrah one of the hardest woods in the world and itโs held its edge well. The flat bottom of the knife makes it great to snug up against your square and a good marking line to start chiseling. Lastly, it still looks beautiful years on!
