This biltong tastes excellent. The seasoning is well balanced- savoury with just the right amount of salt, and the cuts are a good size with very little fat. The texture is chewy as it should be, but not tough or difficult to eat. It’s also reassuring to see that the ingredients are mostly natural, aside from potassium sorbate as a preservative, which is still milder than many others. I bought this while looking for genuine, quality biltong, after finding out that the stuff I purchased from Tesco "Jack Links" uses harmful preservatives and artificial flavourings... Overall, a high-quality snack with great flavour and consistency.

Good but pricey.

I've bought this a few times now and it's just the most affordable jerky for the price while also tasting really nice! I've only tried the OG flavour & loved it, but super tempted to try the chili chutney as well as it sounds great. It's quite chewy but I like that because it means that it doesn't immediately dissolve in your mouth and you get more out of it. The flavour is just very moreish & satisfying for a jerky & not super overexaggerated either like some of the tiny jerky packets you can get at shops that taste super artificial. Generally just the best jerky option out there for people who don't want to spend a humongous amount of money but still want to get a really great beef jerky! :)

Spectacular product.

Love that it's grass fed British beef but the quality of it has really gone downhill. Used to be really nice, lean and good quality cuts. Now it's super fatty and chewy and some of it is inedible. Very disappointed as this used to be great value and I are loads of it.

Wow, this is REAL authentic Biltong! I’ve only ever had the supermarkets packets version, which looks and tastes pretty processed. This Smally’s Biltong has a far more natural appearance, is really well flavoured with pepper, and simply far nicer to eat. Not too chewy and digests well. In my photo is supermarket stuff on the left, Smally’s on the right, can clearly see the shape and colouring of Smally’s looks so much better. 250g pack size is far better for packaging, no tiny bags every day, this will last me a week or more. You’ve got me as a new longtime customer! Nice brand story on their website and the quality of their rearing and production. Well done!

I rarely leave a review but this one is definitely warranted! To say I am disappointed would be an understatement! After much searching on Amazon for a decent biltong with as few as possible preservatives and smally’s having great reviews. I decided to try it even though it’s a bit expensive at £28 for 500g. I thought well you only get what you pay for right? In this case absolutely wrong! It ridiculously chewy and impossible to swallow, it must be the worst cut, cheapest meat on earth. It is completely over salted, if you understand the science behind salted food, and the respective triggers in the human body which makes you crave more salt. Hence you eat more and buy more of the product. In hindsight reading the reviews about “ oh I couldn’t put the bag down” or “ oh I ate the whole bag” makes perfect sense now I have tried it. Don’t get me wrong I like salt but this level is just nutts! the meat itself is just awful. I was expecting something chewy but not to the point it feels like I am chewing an old leather boot. Impossible to swallow it does not break down in your mouth, it just turns in to a rubbery substance that is very hard and unpleasant. I have just looked at trying to return it for a refund, but Amazon is saying this item is not eligible for a shelf service refund! WTF. Amazon shipped it so it should allow me to return it. Not the case with this product. You get redirected to automated chat with non applicable options. I have tried a few options but it keeps going back to the same message, to search amazons return policy pages, basically it’s sending you round in a circle. So I will just take it on the chin and throw it in the bin! Not a good a look smally’s!

Impecable, sabroso ,con ese toque. A pimienta que le da ese cuerpo. Me la voy a acabar antes de 2 semanas. Cuando tengo hambre me como un puñadito.. y me entretiene, me tiene ocupado y si haces ejercicio son proteínas increíbles. Lo recomiendo y seguiré pidiéndolo, son 15 euros muy bien invertidos.

Assolutamente sconsigliata. Retrogusto metallico forte e carne durissima (bonus: odore di cadavere). Ho buttato tutto non appena l'ho aperta..

4 paquets "original". Je ne connaissais pas ce type de produit mais maintenant j'en suis accro (commandé 6 autres paquets). C'est vraiment goûtu, pas trop dur, peut se grignoter tel quel ou être incorporé a des préparations culinaire.

Sabroso pero no picante( un poco salado como toda mojama). Para añadir a platos sosos o comer entre horas con poca cantidad es suficiente. Recomendable. Lo he fraccionado y congelado y ningún problema de cambio de textura y sabor al descongelar.
