So lots of complaints from others but so far this lock has been great. The only complaint I have is trying to get more than one code entered. But I think I just need to erase the codes and start fresh. The lock does move a little slow but to me its better than a slamming noise. The key pad lights up blue and this was really easy to put on the door. We had to file the hold down just a little to secure a good fit but this was easy to set up and I feel better knowing we have it. I havnt had this very long but I will be sure to update if anything goes awry. I think for the price...it's a great deal and especially if you are just wanting to see if this is the kind of lock you want. These would actually work great for any doors inside as well but great for the entry door as intended. Spend the few bucks and check it out for yourself. Plan to get the matching door knob next for the extra security. This lock is NOT Bluetooth and does NOT lock by itself.

The instructions for programming this thing were horrible. I had to figure it out on my own because they were inaccurate. Then, after only 8 months of use, it stopped working. And it's not the batteries. It became VERY hard to turn even by hand with the door open. Seems to be like something internal needs oiled or some mechanism has failed. You can turn it with the key, but it's very hard to turn. Like I said, even with the door open, it's hard to turn (which is why the automatic part won't work). There is nothing obstructing the deadbolt either I checked. I wouldn't waste my money on this thing.

I like everything but one thing that I didn't realize until I installed it. I can't use my phone with this model. I was disappointed because that was the only reason I bought it. My entire home is as they say a Smart house except for this lock. It was simple to install, 25 minutes i had it in, it's stylish, but I can't use it with my phone. So I am definitely buying a new, that's what I am shopping for now. I will just put this on another door, don't get me wrong I like it I am just mad at myself for reading the ad wrong. That will not happen again. Can't be the price, I thought it was cheap, but the product is well made. Other than no phone compatibility I give it 5 stars

In contrast to other reviews, the two of these that I bought were fairly easy to install, just following the instructions. I only have two quibbles: First, the plate that goes in the edge of the door was more square on the corners, where the ones that I removed from the old deadbolt were rounded, so I had to square up the corners with a chisel. Not a big deal, but an annoyance that I wasn't expecting. Second, it doesn't feel like the deadbolt throws as far into the door frame as my old deadbolt. After testing it, it does indeed secure the door, but it just doesn't feel like it goes as deep, leading to what is at this point a purely mental issue... I wonder if someone tried jerking the door back and forth and throwing their shoulder into it, if this deadbolt would hold up as well. Other than those two minor issues, though, I really like this lock. It was fairly easy to install, looks great and matches the other rubbed bronze hardware that my house already has, and it was easy to program.

It was great after we installed it and it served its purpose, but after i put the initial codes in it, it will no longer allow me to add more codes to it. I have 5 codes on it right now and am unable to add more. Defies what I needed it for.

You get what you paid for and in this case not much. Out of the box I noticed batteries were not included. I had to make a trip to the store to buy the batteries, an inconvenience. Installed the battery, the keypad lit. Looked for instructional video, the sellers website has videos for all other models except this one. I had to go by the included pamphlet which was easy enough to follow. It took longer than I anticipated to install the lock. When ready to set the code and test the lock, nothing would happen. The key pad would lit, they buttons would beep when pressed but the motor to turn the lock would not make any noise or lock. Customer service help is only by email. I emailed the co pant. Removed the lock. Installed my old lock back. When I did not hear from the company for 48 hours, I returned the lock back to amazon. I would not buy this lock again they have more expensive models to choose from that maybe better. If I wanted to spend more money I would buy a name brand with better support and quality control. Pros are inexpensive, no software needed so no hacking, easy to install Cons are: It did not work out of the box, not much support materials online, no 800 number to call and I would spend more money to get a better lock.

Took a little while to install and get set up. Customer service was helpful. We had a little trouble resetting the passcode. The trick was to put in the code that came unlock, then 1 unlock and your new code unlock. It will beep. When checking your new code made sure the backlight goes out first. That was messing us up, we were not waiting for light to go off. When you are coming in from outside, it seems you need to press lock, code, then unlock. If we didn’t push lock from outside and the door was locked from inside the code was not working. Seems like this will fit our needs. Above tricks will help to make it easier to reset password. Good customer service, they were super helpful when I called about resetting the code. Just installed, if we have any issues we will update the review

The lock was a pain to install, once installed the programing was a big pain. Once programed the motor drags soooo slow that it sounds like it is straining to work. I already went through one set of 10 year batteries just programing it and now waiting to see how long the next set lasts with the dragging of the motor function. I have installed many of these types of locks and I must say I did not expect the problems I have had with this one, so when I say it's not worth the $50 I know what I am talking about.
