Great framing nailer!
I've been putting off buying a framing nailer for a while but I'm so glad that I finally bought one. The Metabo HPT nailer makes framing fast and easy. It's heavy but not too bad. It does get loud so I recommend wearing ear protectors (I wear a noise cancelling headphone while working and it does the job). Best part is that it can easily hold 3 strips of 25 nails with some space to spare, so I'm guessing about 80-90 nails at a time so I don't have to keep reloading like on my cordless Dewalts. I have it hooked up to a 3 gal HFT 100 psi hotdog compressor and it works fine. It shoots about 10 nails before the compressor kicks in again, which for a DIYer is plenty. Not the nailer's fault if anything, I should probably upgrade my compressor to a bigger one. From time to time it would fire so hard that it splits the edge of the 2x4 but only if the wood is dry and old. Overall I'm happy with this nailer. So much faster than using impact driver and torx screws. EDIT: Pic added. I built a huge part of our pool deck with this Metabo nailer. Zero issues, it never jammed. Sped up the work tremendously. UPDATE 6/17/24: I just finished framing an entire bathroom addition and it worked flawlessly yet again. I actually dropped it nose first from 8 ft, it hit the paver and cracked the paver, but the gun is unscathed and works fine. This thing is super durable!

Good tool for a good price
Once properly adjusted worked great just keep it lubed and make sure it is set up properly ie: air pressure and depth settings and it should work well. Bought it here because it was a better price on amazon than the exact same one at L@#&'s and I shop there all the time.

It met my every need (except when I needed to hang it on something)
I'm not a contractor, but this worked great to frame a small carriage house. My only gripe is that it should come with hanger. They are easily found, though. I used a mix of nail sizes and brands and had no complaints.

This nail gun needs 2 more rows of stars
This is the Cadillac of nail guns in my humble opinion. Metabo has depth Guage and it's lighter with rapped fire and single fire and no jamming nails . Very smooth and zero fatigue factor from the weight or adjusting from tight placement while holding it overhead. And it's on sale for 145 .A steal of a deal . Amazon is hooking the DYI and Contractors. Fast shipping next day and I was waiting at my window like a kid on Christmas.

Jammed and useless in just 2 hours.
Used the gun for less than 2 hours before it jammed permanently. A nail managed to wedge itself between the drive piston and sleeve it rides in. Completely jammed solid. Broke the nail off trying to remove it. It failed just 5 days after the return date passed.

Reliable Air Nail Gun for DIY Projects
When set up correctly with the right air pressure and depth settings, this nail gun performs like a charm. Just remember to keep it well-lubricated for optimal results. I decided to purchase it on Amazon due to its more competitive pricing compared to the identical model at L@#&'s, my usual go-to store for tools and equipment. Happy with my decision!
