Sakroots Artist Circle Convertible Backpack

I bought it so I could use it as a backpack but I find it much more comfortable as a cross body. It is a beautiful bag and very well made. I've been receiving compliments on it since day 1! Everyone wants to know where I bought it!It does slouch a little when you use it as a cross body, but it's not like I have important papers in my purse. I have used it to carry my Dell Chromebook 11 (turn on its side) but the zipper doesn't close. No biggie, the button closure works to contain contents (I don't keep small/loose items in the bag). I've carried: my Chromebook, checkbook style wallet, phone and two small approx 5x7 zippered coin purses (for the small items) in the big pocket & keys + smartphone in the front pocket for easy access.When going out with my 2 & 5 yr old, I can carry: my wallet, keys, phone, one change of clothes, wipes, snacks plus two Kindles (or two copies of the hardcover Nighty Night Little Green Monster, which I've done many times. The strap is softer than when I received it but that just makes it better in my opinion.I'm really having a hard time not purchasing this in a leather version (Link: http://amzn.com/B004H0MB1K) for when I need a more "professional" look. Right now I carry it to work even when it clashes with my outfit!

I love this bag. I have a wallet by this brand that is a cool design and my sis has a smaller bag by this brand that she loves. I have always been on the lookout for a bag like this because I love convertible things. This bag is super functional. Its extremely easy to go from cross body to backpack. That to me was the #1 selling feature. Other bags make you hook and unhook in order to do this but this back takes out the fuss. Then they have all these awesome prints and pretty details that I love. The pockets and zippers area also perfect for when you have a lot of stuff that needs to stay organized. Also safer when on your back. I bought this bag mostly to bring with me when I travel b/c sometimes you want to get things out of the way in the back or flip around and keep in front when in crowded places. I like that I can go from cross body to backpack in seconds if my bag gets heavy. Its super roomy and no issues sticking in a water bottle or fitting in purchases throughout the day. Straps are comfy too. I have been using it for weeks and been super happy with my purchase. Gets lots of compliments too. Its was worth it!

I received this earlier today & I already just love it. I have read other reviews that said they received the all Blue instead of the one with the brown Faux leather strap & bottom that weren't that happy about it. Well, I got the all Blue & thrilled that I did. The brown has too much "Pleather" for my taste & the Blue has only a small piece to hold the strap in place. I already used it to go to the store & received a couple of compliments in the short time that I was out. I wore mine as a cross body & would like to say that I feel some people may not be wearing it properly. It will not bunch up if you release the hooks from the bottom rings & clip them on the top. It's extremely easy to do & it will lay flat on your body. Turning back into a backpack is also very easy it's just done the opposite way with the straps. I wanted to mention this because I love reading reviews & it seemed that it was an issue for some. I've always loved "Sakroots" & I have many that I purchased yrs. ago. They are sturdy & they do last. I think the pattern on this is just great just like they all are. I'd like to mention that once you have figured out the straps it only takes a couple of mins. to change from cross body to backpack. Thank you for letting me share & I hope my review was clear enough. I know I will be using this for a very long time. Hopefully, I can purchase a different Sakroots since I have a few different styles that I've been checking out. I think us Girls get it!!!

Super cute until I washed it because it had a funny smell, everything faded and now I can not even stand to look at it.

This is a fantastic backpack purse. I am in my 50s and it does not look too young. Lots of compliments. It is good looking, so I don't look like I'm carrying a school back pack. No leather, which is an advantage if you are in a hot climate. Leather will stain your clothes when it is really hot and you sweat. I have been having back trouble and switched to fabric purses, but that wasn't enuf. If I wear a fabric xbody purse, it is much lighter than leather, but it still pulls and makes my back hurt. This lightweight backpack purse is just the ticket. I can wear it as a backpack all day and there are no issues w/ my back. Spacious, but not too big. The main compartment zips securely. Plenty of room for the normal items I would carry in a purse, plus xtra room if you have a Tablet or a large cell phone or both. Plenty of room to tuck in a water bottle and small purchases. If you carry it as a xbody, the purse itself does scrunch up, however, it is still a good xbody and doesn't bother me because it scrunches up - can still carry the aforementioned items. The only "con" I can think of is...it can slip off your shoulders. I thought that might be a problem, but when you have items in it there is just enuf weight so it doesn't slip off.

Colours are great but was hoping it would be a little softer and slouch naturally

I loved this bag when it first arrived. It converted easily from a shoulder bag to backpack and had plenty of compartments. Less than 3 mths on, the fastener has fallen off the front, not good for what is supposed to be a "quality bag.I contacted Sakroots (bag manufacturer), they were no help at all, said they didn't send out spare parts. I replied and asked for the name of the part so I could source it myself. I've yet to receive a reply.Silverhooks, the company I purchased the bag from, have yet to answer my email requesting help with this issue.I can still use the bag and if it wasn't for the fastener problem I would have given 5 stars
